A less pop watered down beat, more of a harder street beat, heavy bass, dj scratches, heavy latin rhythm keyboards. Use some old school samples. Sorta like "Make noise", can u imagine all these artists singing over a hard beat like that! Drop the corny lyrics too, it sounded like a high school graduation song! "Lean On Me" flashbacks..."Fair Eastside!!!" lol

First the lyrics were not corny cause it was for the fans they got together, and sencond whas wrong with Fair East side? I went to that school and was part of the movie (As an Extra of Course 🙂 )so lets chill...😛

That's nice dawg, but that has nothing to do with the song. IN MY OPINION, the lyrics were corny. It's not the type of song I would expect to hear from people who have been in the business as long. It was just a little too on the happy pop side for my taste. All the artists solo stuff was much better. I think when 6 artists unite it should be 6x better than the artist's solo projects. "We Are The Ones" just fell short of the expectations. Sometimes collabos aren't always a great thing because people may expect too much if you put too many names together. A great example was thr R. Kelly/Jay Z album. People just expected way more than what was offered because of the artists and their history.

I see what you mean about the lyrics being a lil light hearted but I think that what the were tryin to do is something more radio friendly
but over all I love the song I think they did an awesome job on it.
But being that this thread is named new legends of style i would go with new school artist i think that would be a phat azz twist on the original
just my thoughts on it ;-)
