... I've kind of really gotten tired of top 40/urban rhythmic radio stations and m.t.v. stuff! I don't know why I suddenly got tired of it, but recently I've been listening to Jazz, Old School, and some retro/alternative music.
I've been listening to Mix96.9, (those of you that have a "mix" station in your state know what I'm talking about - the best of the 80's, 90's & today...) 95.5 KYOT, smooth jazz, and 99.3/104.3 Arizona's jammin' r&b & more, (this is actually an old school station that only plays a little bit of new r&b during weekend mixes, everything else is old school...) This station plays stuff like Zapp & Roger, Dino, Ready for the world, Janet Jackson, Nocera, Pebbles, Connie, Hi Five, Neneh Cherry, Jody Whatley, Chaka Khan, Bobby Brown, Stevie B, Santana, Lisa Lisa,...etc. I'm actually should probably go d.j. tonight, but I don't really feel like it. At the club, I usually play what the people like to hear, which are things like "slow motion" by Juvenile, "lean Back" by Terror Squad, "freek-a-leek" by Petey Pablo.....and I will discontinue the list here - you should probably have an idea by now. Last week, I started playing stuff like "headsprung" by L.L.Cool J. and "real gangsta's" (kdm remix) by Mobb Deep f/ Li'l Jon. Then I stopped and suddenly flipped it to some booty bass, then by the time I was done I had played "love goes on" (original version) by Natalise, "always dreamin" (hyperspace mix) by Sharyn Maceren, "in those jeans" (funkymix) by Ginuwine, Masquerade (radio edit) by Science, "I just wanna use your love" by Dj X. ...etc. I haven't done this for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I don't know what it is, but I suddenly just got tired of almost all the songs you can catch on T.R.L. or M.T.V. in general. I've been listening to Energy 92,7/101.1 off & on, but for some reason been listening more to the old school station.

I met this girl on the bus that loves EVERY SINGLE SONG of mine that she's heard so far - I mean EVERY SONG! and she's heard quite a few. She likes Natalise, She likes KEVIN AVIANCE, she likes MOBB DEEP, she likes "stolen car" (remixes) by Sting, She likes - ALL THE SONGS ON MY C.D. OF FAVORITE SONGS! And most of all, she likes the DANCE MUSIC! I got her phone number and... I'll just let you know what happens next - if I feel like it.
