I remember posting a thread like this before about why people like Reality TV. I did not quite get a clear answer.

I'm just curious about why there is so much love for the genre. I'll be specific;

Why do you guys like the following shows:

Real World(The Pioneer of reality TV)

Survivor

Big brother

Fear Factor

Americas next Top Model

American Idol

Avg. Joe

Forever Eden

The Bachlor/Bachlorette

'Cus I love Fashion and catty bitches. Now that the show's finally ended, I won't be watching TV for quite a few months. The other shows I don't watch. Too cheesy for me.

I do see lots of those shows like Forever Eden and Fear Factor to be cheesy and dumb

lets keep it going, Why the love for these shows.

I see you hate reality TV. I'm not a big fan of most of it because, I think they are dumb and useless. I also hate the fact it's called Reality TV. It should be called Unscripted programming. Reality is a show about a person who hates his or her life, reality is a show about a single mom struggling to make ends meet. That's reality my friend!!!
 
Mercedes was cute with a great personality. But Yohanna had the flawless face that would work great with any make-up artist, designer, etc. She was a palate. Her walk on the runway was horrendous, but that girl had Fashion and Attitude written all ova her! I mean, when she walked in for her photo shoot with that big ass Gucci/Louis Vuitton bag, I knew she had it.
 
i dont watch any of that . im just a avg Joe but i would never go on that show even if i was paid all the money in the world. tv is gettin boring each day . what ever happen to the music on mtv they should take the m off and call it rtv or btv boring tv.
 
I love American Idol because you get to root for your fave performer or performers and vote for them. With the music industry being so lousy these days, its nice to have a say in who you want to be the next big star.

I like Average Joe because its interesting to see if the girl will pick the average joe or the hunk. And it makes you root for the Joes when you see how much substance they have...over the looks of the hunks...most of which i dont find appealing anyway.

Ok ok I admit I like "Reality" TV. Why...I'm not really sure. I love Survivor cuz of the challenges on there, to see who will do what to win & how they strategize. I like Average Joe cuz I liked Adam from the first one & I want to see if he finds the right one for him. I like the Apprentice cuz I like to see what job they have to do each week & who ends up fukkin up & gettin fired. I like the Real World/Road Rules Challenge cuz I watched that show since they started doing it...LOL. And finally I love America's Top Model cuz I like to see the girls & how they learn how to model/walk the runway, the fashions & of course the cattiness...LOL. Hope this helps Mikey!!😀

Well if that's "Reality" TV then they need to make a show about me & my damn struggles...LOL
 
It helps some LOL.

It might help me understand the crave. I might not make all those shows appointment TV.

I still stick with Real World because it was the first of these shows. It was something different. All those others are just cheesy imitators :joker
