LAW "Love and Wisdom"

Law originated during the mid 90's freestyle rebirth in Chicago. Two members fronted the group, Julio and the other name escapes me.They released three songs to critical acclaim through Strictly Hype records. They were 1994's "One more chance for love",1995's "Remember the times", and 1996's "Missing your love"."One more chance for love" recieved tremendous airplay on Chicago's Premire top-40 radio station B-96.1996 was the downfall for freestyle in chicago, freestyle being music being regulated to the weekend street mixes. And no longer recieving the radio airplay it had recieved the previous couple years, thus making it difficult for artists to get funding to record good viable music.Law never recorded as a duo after Missing your love, although Julio, the lead vocalist released "Angelina" in 1999, a good song, that I have heard only a couple of times. To Law's credit, they released three tremendously good songs, that will forever be staples of the freestyle music scene.I'm not sure if those three songs are sold on a CD as part of a compilation.I'm not even sure if Strictly Hype Records is still in buisness.

Would anybody ........oh you know, happen to have a copy of L.A.W.s "Remember the times" kicking around :whistle

pm me If ya got it I would love to have that particular song! :listen

Only "One More Chance For Love" was released on CD single but it is extremely rare. I was lucky enough to find it being sold on amazon.com used for $20. The other two singles were only released on vinyl and also hard to find. Sometimes they can be found on eBay but they won't be cheap. "Remember The Times" is available on MicMac's Freestyle's Greatest Hits Volume 4.

Hip House has closed down after being open for 15 years. They closed down in Nov. if I'm not mistaken. But nevertheless they are gone for good.
