Help me solve the long x-mas present giving debate.

Which do you think is the best presents to give or recive; Money or a gift or gift certificate?

I would say money. Lots of times, when buying a gift for someone, they might not like it or they might already have it. With cash(even $10) you, he/she can buy what ever the heck they want.😉

Gift certificates/gift cards to me are useless. You may get a certificate to a store that may be 100 or more miles from you.
 
Giving money seems a little tacky. There's no thought put into it.
Gift certificates are the best as long as the giver knows what stores you shop at (and in most cases, they do).
 
That why you get them a gift certificate to a mall... Like out here, you can buy it at one mall and use it at like 30 different ones... But I do prefer gifts, they have a little more meaning and thought than some $$$$$...
 
I agree with Gornicevo, when giving money it looks like you were too lazy to buy them something or it's a last minute gift.

I like money though! I'm appreciative with gift certificates also. My family gave me GC's for the mall so i'm good 🙂
 
I would say to give a gift it shows you have given thought into what youve bought it has meaning to it. As far as what I recieve weather I recieve something or not it doesnt matter as long as I am able to spend it with those I love, thats the best gift I could recieve.
 
well i wouldnt want money from a friend id want a gift maybe a gift certificate cuz if u are my friend u will know exactly wut i want or like...aas for family (those u rarelly see) id prefer the money they can keep the knit sweater lol
