RIP Terri.

May God give strength to your loved ones to get through this difficult time.

I heard just name, may she rest in peace.

This case made me think about getting a living will. That is so important to have so it makes things easier for the family left behind to make the decisions needed.

EVERYONE should have a living will. After this case, if anyone doesn't have one, they are stupid.

My family has told each other what we want, and have it in writing as well.

And everyone is given a Health Proxy Form when they're doing this bad. However, her husband probably filled it out and signed it because it's his right if his wife wasn't in the right mental state to do so. That's why he had "say so" in everything. (I know about this......worked in a hospital 11 yrs.) it's sad.

EXACTLY!!!!! HIS RIGHT!!!!! Because he is the "Husband". That is why the "Father" gives the "Daughter" away. The "Father" has no rights to her. So It is the "Husband's" right to decide on what to do. People say the mother & father should interven but they have no say what so ever. Is it sad yes, but that's it. Sad.

No betty I'm not yelling at you, or anyone here. Just my opinion. 😀

And the reason why I put that up because some people get confused on which is which. They are two different things. And you should have both done.

I hope Terri finally rests in peace. Im sure there are many other families out there in similar situations.

Well you're 100% right...........out of experience working in the hospital, giving the health proxy form to family members and explaining it. And on top of that when my cousin was dying, I signed the health proxy form because my aunt wasn't in any mental state to do so either. So I was then next person in line to do so and had all the "say so".

Yes there are a lot of families in the same situation and should learn from this one to protect their rights.
