I've been told that she, Taylor Dayne, will be joining the cast of the Broadway Hit "AIDA". she'll replace SHERIE RENEE SCOTT(who has an amazing voice). and that it has been confirmed that T.D. will join soon...Go see "AIDA" if u havent seen it already, i saw it the day b4 and its good!!! well, peeeeaceouttie my freestyle-ologists.......😉

Taylor Dayne has a beautiful, soulful voice. If you consider her to be freestyle (i really don't) then i must admit, she has one of the BEST voices.

i saw her at the legendary PALLADIUM, when HOT 103 at one of their HOT NIGHTS concerts.

TAYLOR DAYNE

TAYLOR DAYNE GOTTA DOPE VOICE. BUT SHE AIN'T FREESTYLE- BOTTOM LINE. I SAW HER PERFORM A COUPLE OF SUMMER'S BACK AT REVERE BEACH IN REVERE, MASSACHUSETTS ALONG WITH LISA LISA AND ANGEL CLIVELLES. SHE HAS COME OUT WITH A FEW DEEP HOUSE TRACKS AND IS STILL BLOWIN' UP EVERY NOW AND THEN IN THE CLUBS. SHE IS LIVIN' SOMEWHERE OUT WEST AND IS STILL ACTING WITH NUMEROUS ROLES BEHIND HER. SHE'S DEFINITELY HOT AND MAD COOL TOO.

i dont consider alot of songs, artists, etc freestyle. BUT,
i do mention certain songs because of back in da days we used to listen to examples: 2 w/o hats, 2 in a room, rob base,Doug Lazy, info.Society, etc. along with freestyle. Now, Taylor Dayne i mentioned b/c she was blaring on HOT*103(tell it to my heart...)when that station was "freestyle friendly" not b/c i consider her a "freestyle artist" I wuz just letting some peeps know what was up with her. 😉 anywayz, peeeeeaceouttie,

the~EM...

I DO CLASSIFY "TAYLOR DAYNE" AS FREESTYLE. WHTA YOUR OPINION ON HER NOT BEING FREESTYLE, RICAN PAPA. SHE HAS DONE EVERYTHING THAT EVERY FREESTYLE ARTIST HAS DONE TO PROVE HERSELF. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK SHE AINT FREESTLE? WAS IT THAT FACT SHE WAS BONING A FREESTYLE PRODUER "ARTHUR BAKER" THAT HAS GOTTEN YOU PISSED?

Taylor Dayne was Freestyle in the 80s but in the 90s more R&B and House and alot of ballads. Her last CD was awful. "PLanet Love" was a great song from a movie, can't remember. It did not appear on the "Naked without you" CD. The dance remix to Naked without you was great!

what the hell? who the hell brung up taylor dayne? she aint freestyle. tell it to my heart wasnt freestyle. i ought to spank you. theres too many midi directions playing on that song to ever be freestyle. saying taylor dayne is freestyle is just like saying bobby browns "every little step" is freestyle.

Damn, this again!

Taylor Daynes first two hits were "Tell It To My Heart" and "Prove Your Love".

Do those songs have a Freestyle beat? Yes

Do those songs have a Freestyle chord progession? Yes

Typical Freestyle theme? Tempo? Lead synth? Verse & chord structure? Mixed with other Freestyle songs? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Are those songs Freestyle? Can't think of a reason why not.

Is she a Freesytle artist? Yes and no. Freestyle artist in the sense that she had Freestyle songs. Pop artist in the sense that she explored different genres and was sucessful in them.

Is Doug Lazy , Rob Base, and Bobby Brown Freestyle? You know the answer to this one. Why make the comparison?

dammit!!!!

you know, i am not gonna explain myself again. i was not comparing DOUG LAZY, ROB BASE, ETC...WITH FREESTYLE! I SAID,
THAT THESE TYPES OF HOUSE/DANCE WERE MIXED/INFLUENCED/HEARD/PLAYED/ALL OF THEE ABOVE BACK IN DA DAYS OF THE NOW OL' SKOOL FREESTYLE MUSIC. NOT BECAUSE I THOUGHT ITS FREESTYLE.(EVEN A DEMENTED PERSON WOULD KNOW THAT)GEE ZUS...SHEESH. AND ORIGNINATOR1, RE-READ THE POSTS AGAIN, I DO BELIEVE THAT I DONT MENTION HER BEING "FREESTYLE". 'CAUSE I DID MENTION HER SINCE ITS THE FIRST POST.

ok...what about lissette melendez second album? "goody, goody"? it wasnt freestyle. was there any freestyle on that second album at all? if not, then there goes the same situation as tayor dayne. she crossed over like many artist have.

I considered her Freestyle

I have to say I saw Taylor Dayne yrs ago while I was clubbing...she was performing at the same time as StevieB,
Latin Rascals, Nocera, Cover Girls etc...
So I always had her in the same category....
Since it is Freestyle so is she.....

Why does everyone get so upset about other peoples opinions? That's all they are is opinions, it ain't gonna change what a person believes. I notice that on ClubFreestyle there are alot of BoardBangers, someone always wanting to correct another. Who cares if somebody says that Taylor Dayne is freestyle, that is one persons opinion. The same with people saying that Two w/o Hats is Freestyle. I have to say without a doubt in my head they are NOT freestyle, so I did not buy thier records. Just because they are on a freestyle label does not make somebody freestyle. Look at Metropolitan, they also have some artists that are not freestyle. I did not buy their records simply because they were on Metro. They ain't freestyle, so I didn't buy it. Also Artistik had a house record, I don't remember the name I think it was Freddy Edit if I ain't mistaken, but I did not buy that record for the fact it wasn't FREESTYLE. So like a great man named King once said, no not Martin L King, RODNEY KING "Can't We All Just Get Along?" sheeeeeesh.........lol

Dear Kaos,

LOL..........I think my age is showing, I am starting to feel old. All of a sudden I have an opinion on everything. I think Jack should give me my own advice column, what do youse think? It could be called "DEAR KAOS".........lol just a suggestion & I am j/k.........

i understand makeyadance but dammit jason she aint freestyle. "tell it to my heart" was a smash in the charts when it came out, now dont you think if it was freestyle that Albert Cabrera wouldve added that shit to his 10 series "freestyles greatest beats" im sure he wouldve had some room for that song if it was really freestyle. its a great pop song but im sorry, i, myself would be proud to say it is freestyle, but it aint. theres no hip hop in it. dont confuse freestyle peoples.

Hey bigMARC, I know you weren't making a comparison. My bad. Orgntr1's silly Bobby Brown comparison was the only one I intended to call out. I just started picking out artist names I saw mentioned on this topic.

"dont you think if it was freestyle that Albert Cabrera wouldve added that shit to his 10 series 'freestyles greatest beats'"

--Nope. Especially with all the trip hop he put on Vol 10 and that Boriqua Posse song on Vol 7.

I noticed the same thing as Blue Eyes. Taylor dance was grouped with other Freestyle artists back then at clubs and on the radio.

MakeYaDance, I'm not mad. No way. I'm having fun! 🙂
