Daym, there was a "BACK TO SCHOOL" commercial on already.

Hellooooo it's ONLY the middle of July.. Back to school shouldn't even start until mid august.
 
chuck u think this is early, u dont work at old navy.. we were planning back to school since june!! when school wasn't even out yet! 😱

i do agree tho this is insane, next thing u know.. they sell halloween costumes in july and christmas trees in september
 
This really bugs me! They rush your whole life away! Let kids and teachers enjoy the summer before you start too show "Back to School" items. Geez, August is time enough! And I cant stand when they start showing Christmas things in August and September..it really takes away from the holiday season! And yesterday I was in Nordstroms and they already had fall clothes and turtlenecks out! PLEASE! Its 90 degrees outside! I cannot look at such hot clothes now! Linus was right..it's all about commericialism!

OMG!!! Back in elemantary school and junior high there was this commercial with the cafeteria ladies and it would go "see you in september...see you when the summer's through..." I f'n HATED that commercial....it was the equivalent of a funeral gong for me!!

I love the one with the father shopping, and the kids are all depressed and sad, and he's running around all happy, because the kids are going back to school, and the music is that christmas song.....

Good morning everyone

Well i can see the jacking has commenced. Well don't worry it will get back on track if it is put there. lol lol. Surprisingly everyone is losing track of time and we all realize how fast it is moving and what are we doing to make the best of it.

I remember that commercial!!! I would get so depressed when I saw it...

Also it didn't help that my b-day is at the end of August...once my b-day came I knew I had to get back to school the following week!!! Sucked big time!!!
 
I start school Aug 22. I hope it aint like the last college I went to. I felt like I was in kindergarten. English class teaching nouns, verbs..stuff I learned in 1st grade. 2 other classes I was drawing & coloring and 2 days out of the week we had nude models and I aint even gonna get into how they looked..it was gross. My other class we just took trips & watched videos lol
 
That's how you can tell how dysfunctional a home is. I used to crave school the next week after it let out. To me they're selling seasonal stuff earlier every year. Usually as soon as one holiday ends, the merchandise comes out for the next one. The sucky thing is out here we don't get the list of what the teacher requires until the week before the kids go back. By then, between all the sales, it's hard to find the things on the list.
 
It is getting ridiculous with how they rush things. Years ago, I worked for Old Navy and Vince isn't kidding when he says they plan for the back to school when school is still going on. That drove me bonkers, but the kicker was when school did let out, I remember it wasn't even 4th of July yet and they we're planning the Christmas sale! Ayi!

LMAO @ the commercial with Alice Cooper...I crack up every time I see it. And the other one with the dad being all happy and the song Most Wonderful Time of The Year playing. My dad thought that was the funniest thing first time he saw it.

And I guess this goes to show what a dork I was...by mid July I was usually looking forward to going back. Maybe not every aspect of it, but in general I did look forward to it.
