Can anyone tell me what happened to the members of Sweet Sensation? I heard so many rumors about Betty having cancer I don't know what to believe, and what about Sheila and Margie? Does anyone know of any websites that feature them?

Im really good friends with Mari and Margie's brother. They're both married. Margie attends Time Square church and has a baby girl and Mari has 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl and her husband is in Iraq right now serving in the war.

Yes, Mari & Margie are the names of 2 of the members that made up the trio Sweet Sensation.

1986-1988:
Betty D. Lebron (lead singer)
Margie Fernandez
& Mari Fernandez (Margie's sister)

1988-1991:
Betty D. Lebron (lead singer)
Margie Fernandez
& Sheila Vega (Mari's replacement)

1991 - ????
Betty D. Lebron
Plus 2-3 new girls replacing Margie & Sheila, ....& POOF! - they all dissappeared.

None of them talk to Betty. Mari is the one Sheila replaced. Mari lives in the LES Projects and is happily married with 4 kids and Margie Lives in Bayonne, NJ and is also married with a baby girl. Unfortunately None of them would like to do music again, thats just part of there past and they've moved on.

Wow, so you really have some sort of connection to the girls huh? I still love Sweet Sensation and literally listen to their music everyday. Since you know Margie and Mari's brother, I'm sure you know a good deal of info. Do you know why they broke up? What's the LES Projects.....is Mari broke? Do any of them keep in touch with eachother? What are any of them up to now? I've been dying to know what ever became of them. It sounds really cheesy, but they really influenced me growing up. I'm 25 now and owe a huge thanks to all of them. Can you tell us anything and everything? Thanks!
