:angered My pc was attacked 2 days ago and I lost everything on my pc. I only wanted to find nice new stationary for my incredimail, and they got through my Microtrend firewall and anti-virus!! I didn't even download anything. I was just clicking through looking at different stationary, and bam...it came through like an assault. I unplugged my internet connection and they still kept popping up. Wouldn't even let me do security scans, and of course me being a bit slow at times didn't have anything on backup. :bangbang So I lost a year worth of pictures, e-mails. Moral of the story, make sure you back up all important files, and if anyone would like to tell me if I'm configuring my stuff correctly, I'm always open to advice. Also I apologize if I cause anyone visual disturbances with this eye popping color, but it properly conveys my anger.

Yup I can relate I've lost about 5000 mp3s due to viruses...currently my PC has viruses again it's running sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow...I just haven't got around to clearing it cuz I'm still trying to save everything to disk
 
Had the ad-aware. They took control of that. I had the Zone Alarm, but had just installed the MicroTrend internet security...last week, and they got through my whole system, photos, mp3s, programs...all gone. And of course when we moved, a bunch got lossed and my boyfirend thinks he may have thrown them out...my Zone Alarm, my Photoshop..oh well he lost some of his too.
 
I lost alot of stuff several years ago too.....but since then, I dont download shyt....just the music.....dont surft for desktop pics or screensavers.......NOT NO MORE and I do have back up now.....so good point, I know the feeling.
