The Gay Lord of Freestyle
Who would've thought that the grief would last so long? It's been 365 days, but everyone still feels like the grief is fresh. I posted the lyrics to Josh Groban's "To Where You Are" back in April. I think this other song expresses how most people feel. It's by Victoria Williams.
CAN'T CRY HARD ENOUGH
I'm gonna live my life, like everyday's the last.
Without a simple goodbye, it all goes by so fast
and now that you're gone, I can't cry hard enough
No I can't cry hard enough, for you to hear me now
I'm gonna open my eyes, and see for the first time
I'm letting go of you like, a child let's go of his kite
There it goes, up in the sky, there it goes
beyond the clouds for no reason why,
I can't cry hard enough, no I can't cry hard enough,
for you to hear me now
I'm gonna look back in vain, to see you standing there
when all that remains, is just an empty chair
and now that you're gone, I can't cry hard enough
no I can't cry hard enough, for you to hear me now
There it goes, up in the sky, there it goes
beyond the clouds, for no reason why
I can't cry hard enough, no I can't cry hard enough
for you to hear me now
To everyone who lost anyone on 9/11/2001, may your grief become easier to bear.
