When I go to swap mp3's or on a mission to find em, there aren't many folks with the old skool stuff that I want..

I don't collet vinyl, so I am at a disadvantage...

Do I smell a business acquisition here??? Where are my biz people here?? Ty?? Nel?? Petey?? Santana Twins??

want to make some money so they can
feed their families and continue to have
a career in music.

By starting a service like that - it
cuts their profits... eventually
will kill freestyle music.

What about if it was limited in a sense? What I mean is what if it kind of went hand in hand with the "where can I find this song forum?" For example, some songs can no longer be brought for various reasons, so the only option is to download it unless someone knows someone that has it and they copy it. Does that make any sense? I don't download, so I prolly made no type of sense. I need to think things out before I try to type. LOL

Ahem, simply JackG, my sincerest apologies..

I am an Accountant and I do recall the logisitics involved with Napster, so I wouldn't venture to say that the artists are quite running to get their hunks of government cheese.......

I would also guess that it does create exposure for the less promoted artists that do not get airplay and also give collectors like me and quite a handful of us that search for rare jams that are unattainable via regular mediums or internet swaps....

Oh well.... I still think I may be on to something here.....

Just as an experiment - I am gonna throw some of my rare tracks out on Kazaa and see how many uploads I get...

I will keep ya'll posted....

I just had a thought.....

Filesharing is a positive for artists, especially those who are less showcased or promoted....

I hate to sound argumentative (forgive me), but I thought it would be a good idea.. I am not trying to deprive the artists or their families either....

Anyway - I will give the results of my experiment over a one onth period....
