does anyone remember a terrific group in 1988 called SEQUAL and their hit I'M OVER YOU? i would love to find their CD/tape. they were very similar to SWEET SENSATION and PAJAMA PARTY.

Did someone say Sequal??? :nutz An amazing sounding not to mention sexy,ass kickin, back in the day Freestyle duet.The cd is a hard find but I think it's worth it cause from what I hear one song I love on my cd "Let it Go" is not on the LP.When I first heard it , it shot right to the top.Right Anthony..um Kenny Guido?

Check ebay. I just got their self-enetitled album on vinyl about 2 months ago. Their singles pop up from time to time too. My favorite of theirs is "It's Not Too Late" 😎

I have Sequal's tape and it's really good!!! "I'm Over You" and "It's Not Too late" are 2 great freestyle songs!!!

sequal were a hot act from miami, i remember seeing their shows from time to time and even meeting them one time. maria gave me attitude at one mall show cuz i was asking for a million autographed posters lol.....
their tracks "its not to late", "she dont want you" and "im over you" were all big hits on power 96 in miami. i wonder where they are now?

Sequal got together back in '97 to record a song for the Lewis A Martinee produced compilation, Total Ritmo with a song called, "There's more to love". It is about 7 minutes long. A great comp if you don't have if featuring songs that are not on any other compilations by Nyasia, Dauby, Voice in Fashion, Tony Marino, Ray Guell, Gerardo, Nadine Renee and so on. It is a combo of Freestyle and House. You can still get it on Amazon.com

I have the cassette of Sequal. Too bad it wasn't the CD.
It's not too late is the strongest track in my opinion.

In case anyone is interested:

Maria Abraham of Sequal fronted a group called 3rd Party. They had 2 dance hits with "Can U Feel It" and "Love is Alive". She also co-wrote "Waiting for Tonight" which was originally performed by 3rd Party, but ended up as a hit for Jennifer Lopez. You can buy her solo CD under the name Maria Christensen on www.half.com for 75 cents (plus s+h). The 3rd Party CD should be there also.

The Sequal CD is VERY hard to come by. Anyone looking for it might want to check EBAY RIGHT NOW! If not, one pops up on www.gemm.com once in a while, but that place is hit or miss as far as having the damned thing in stock. I guard mine with my life. 🙂

If there is anyone who knows about Sequal personally, it's CF member JONPITO.
Ask him, & I beleive he shall tell.

The full-length album is very hard to get, But I have my copy, & it's a good CD.
My fav's are: "Tell The Truth", "It's Not Too Late", "I'm Over You", & "Out Of Sight Out Of Mind".
