Samplin' old Records and Mixing It Into My Music?......

i was wondering does anyone know the laws..rules...anything with samplin' old records i mean i wanna sample a old 1979-1980 no name person record and work it mix it into my newest beat for mp3.com i was wonder can i get in trouble..peace..thanx juan v!

It's generally a good idea and cover all bases if your gonna look to make a profit off of it.For the most part you wont get into any trouble but,why go through all the legal hassles when you could avoid it.Look at all the trouble it caused Vanilla Ice when he sampled music from Queen and David Bowie.It's generally the same thing.
