This movie is very faithful to the game in terms of preserving the hard-edge that the video game had. I think that the new fact that Alice was infected with the "Nemesis" program is a great addition to the action which is faster. All the acting was great and the resemblance to the game is almost seemless. Now to the part i love to talk about the most...'The Nemesis. The Nemesis looked totally way cool and scary with the face. The Nemesis also bumps into a fight with the main characters at the most unexpected times just like in the video game. The Nemesis in the film is featured as a big bad-ass whos almost unstoppable and it shows that its gonna take alot to do away with this guy. I would just like to say that theres a big cliffhanger in which the film ends to pave the way for another sequel. Overall Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a fantastic action/horror film and I definatly recommend it THUMBS WAY UP! **** 4 Stars. Don't go by what critics say they get pay to do that shit. If your not familiar with the RE games you might not even get the movie just like most critics. GREAT fuking movie. Go see it famlee...

wassup E!

I'm a huge fan of the game, & am glad they added Jill Valentine. 🙂
I have 3 tix to see it tonight, but we missed the show, so we will go tommorrow. (Grrr!)
I can't wait yo!!! The trailers have me all pumped up! - LOL!
It's true about Nemesis, how he just be jumpin' out da cut, making the game players jump at 3 am -lol. (Now I feel like playing Nemesis). 🙂
Aaayyee!! Now i'm dying to see what da cliff hanger is gonna be. I'm sure it will be a good one!
🙂

Companyy whatssssss up!...the movie was great and nemesis does pop out of nowhere in a few scenes. You played the game so you know what is like lol.. theres only one thing i didn't like about nemesis towards the end wich i dont want to say in wich i didnt like.

Yup-yup!
They also have my boy Carlos from da game in da movie. 🙂
Played by Oded Fehr (The Mummy/The Mummy Returns).
Im heading out to see it in a bit,
late

I saw it, I loved it, - but I wish it was longer!
That was some twisted-azz sh*t! (towards the end).

Now i'm really wondering what da hell iz gonna happen next!

I'm not familiar with the game, but the first film was sick! I think I watched it about 10 times cus it was awesome. The music, cinematography, production.....was put together very well. You don't get that in many movies today.

Speaking of which, what the phuck's up with that film "Cellular"? That's just :nahnah stupid.....

carlos bro i saw dat shit last nite n it suckedd... i left to tony roma's like n hour into the movie lol... Companyyyy it was f*cking good i cant wait for part 3...

banging ribs...dat movie cellular i think they were trying to do something close to phonebooth....but they just picked the wrong actor...

While the first movie was better than expected, I can't honestly say it was good.

Since it served as a background piece, Paul W.S. Anderson should have based the first film on RE:Zero rather than making it up as he went along. My opinion is that he felt that as long as he included The Umbrella Corp., the T-Virus, zombies, zombie dogs and “Lickers” that would automatically give the film credibility as something deserving of the name “Resident Evil”. Who cares about familiar RE characters, right? It was my impression that despite what Paul Anderson claims, he knows nothing about the game series and more than likely based his scripts on previews and reviews he read on IGN.

Anyways, I revisited the first RE movie on Saturday afternoon and went to check out Resident Evil: Apocalypse on Saturday night. I still wasn’t too impressed with the first movie, but knowing that RE3’s “Nemesis” would be making his rounds in the movie sequel, I figured it would be worth $9 to see how the character would play out on the big screen.

While it was entertaining, for the most part, I thought the use of Michael Epps for comic relief was a huge mistake. It’s hard for the film to be taken seriously when you have a character relying on stereotypes to go for a cheap laugh every other minute. Again Paul Anderson’s script left a lot to be desired, although it was much better than the first film. At least he included a few character’s from the RE games, this time around.

I actually think that the story they set-up to lead into the 3rd film should be interesting. It kind of feels like they’re going to try something reminiscent of the first Terminator film for the next RE movie.

I hear you on that. The movie was hella good .I thought that chick named Alice was bad. It is really worth watching .
