Hey peeps, sorry it took so long for a reply, it's been crazy at work and this is the first time since I posted my first message that I was able to come back.

The point of the ashes is to remind everyone that God created us from dust, that Jesus died for our sins on Good Friday, so that we could enter heaven, and it's also to remind you that you could die at any time, and to live a good life so you can enter Heaven.

When the priest puts the ashes on your forehead, he says:

"Remember that you came from dust, and unto dust you shall return."

Everyones religion teaches it a different way, but yeah that's the major consensus. DO unto other as you would have done to you.

wether it be the Holy Bible, the Torah, The Jehovah's Bible, The king James Bible, The teachings of Allah ,the Buddist tantric chants or the wiccan way,it basically all boils down to how you live your life here on earth.

Just kidding! I enjoy debate, so don't worry about offending me!

I read a book once from someone who had a near death experience, and saw the "white light" and remembers conversations she had while there.

She was told that there is only one God, however, there are many ways to God.

God accepts prayers to Buddah, Allah, God, and any other diety.

As long as the prayers are true, from the heart, and are done to honor a higher power, God hears and accepts them, and remembers the person saying the prayer.

I like to believe that. No matter which religion you choose, it's a path to the afterlife.😉

nah I don't get offended either boricua, but I tend to stay away from religious, political convos, for the simple fact that no one will ever agree on disagreeing.lol besides I am not a religious person to that extent.

I am sure people will find your response interesting. it's always good to see different points of view, even if you don't agree, so post away my brotha😉 and may the force be with you.lol😉 muah!

by the way, that last sentence.. is kinda scarry if u think about it... "..unto dust you shall return." Brrrr.... reminds me of my destiny.. *shivers*
