The response of three young Staten Island men was anything but chivalrous after their advances were spurned at a Nassau County club early Wednesday morning.

Instead of walking away, the trio allegedly followed the women who rejected them out of the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park and smashed the windows of two cars they entered with other men. One woman was cut by flying glass, Nassau County police said.
Now, the defendants potentially face up to seven years behind bars after being arraigned today in First District Court, Hempstead, on felony assault and criminal mischief charges.
The three men -- Domenick Blasi of the 100 block of Redgrave Avenue, Bay Terrace; Anthony Monroe of Colon Avenue, Great Kills; and Arben Muratovic, of the 300 block of Victory Boulevard, Tompkinsville -- pleaded not guilty. Blasi and Monroe, a former Advance All Star in football from St. Peter's High School, are 20, Muratovic is 19.
Judge Gary F. Knobel set bail at $2,000 bond/$1,000 cash and ordered Monroe and Muratovic back to court Monday. Blasi must return Thursday.
In the meantime, Knobel ordered Blasi and Muratovic to undergo anger-management counseling if they post bail, Nassau County prosecutors said. He did not require Monroe to do likewise.
