Questions for the CF'ers

I was listening to the radio this morning and they were discussing women over 30 being single and unmarried = old maids.

So the question if you're over 30 do you consider yourself an old maid?? Or if you have friends whom never married are they consider to be old maids??

Guys do you prefer to date someone who has never married or someone who has been divorced 2-3 times??

Roles reverse a man over his 30's who was never married ....
a. Still lives with mom Is he a loser?
b. SINGLE .... Can he commit??

Ladies same question applys never married or divorced?

Well, I'm 40!!! Yup 40 years old, I can kick and stretch and Kick!!! ( from the skit on Saturday Night Live, Molly Shannon doing Sally O'Malley ) LMAOOOO

I have NEVER been married, but I don't consider myself an OLD MAID, since I have Three beautiful children! I always pictured old maids as never being married and alone and I am far from it. What I DO consider myself to be is AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN! I do for my kids with NO HELP from their fathers, I work and take care of me and mine. I have my own place and I am the Queen and KING of my castle! Women now a days aren't rushing to get married.. they can take care of themselves, and many don't get hitched till their late 30's anyway...

If a man lives with his MOM.. and he's already in his late 20's, uh, I have a problem with that.. unless he's saving money and looking for a place, and uh, not to drag the move for 5 years either... DOH!
As far as a man who's been married, I prefer them, they already know what settling down consists of, and don't WANT to get married again.. which works good with me since I don't think I'll ever GET married, and I prefer he has at least one child but no more then 2 (although if they're good kids I don't care if there are 5! ), and that they are not infants... cause I don't plan on having any more kids..

Very good Answers Lori.... I personally going to be 30 .....never married and no kids and I too see myself as Independent Woman. I love my life, yea sometimes I feel lonely but hey thats what friends are for! As for me .... I get the looks Ohh Why aren't you married?? Whats wrong with you?? Ohhh you have a cat! and I'm like WTF.....don't hate...lol! My family, especially my mother keep saying I should get married but I have no desire to ....My brother once told me if I wasn't the person I was ... he would be worry about me ....lolol!

Mija, you have so much time left to find the RIGHT ONE! And I think as we women get older we are much more aware of what we want in a man and a relationship, which allows us to make better decisions. We aren't into games or playing with a man's head... we want someone mature minded who knows how to get the job done!

I hate those two things.

I'm single at 36. I want very much to commit to someone, but if I don't have them in my life, I can't really commit, now can I?

As for the first one.......Yeah. I live at home. I got myself into credit card debt in collage, and couldn't afford to make it on my own. I've recently gotten myself out, but still can't afford to make it yet.

Believe me, it's a stumbling block.

That's a totally different thing Chuck. You're paying off your credit cards... if you were just chillin there and had no goal of eventually getting your own place I'd say uh uh... lol.. but you're trying to get yourself into a position where you CAN get a place.. and that's admirable! I don't know Heavenly............Old? What is that? I thought that was when you've shrunk because of Osteosporosis, or having Alzheimers Disease. I'm 38 and I walk a lot, still have my good common sense, still feel good when seeing my 20 yr old and 19 yr old, feel even better when I see my 8 month old granddaughter and can play with her, dance with her, run and jump with her. :lol I guess I don't feel old. :blah

I'm married and still play with my hubby. Play pranks on him and vice versa. Nope I guess not...........Heavenly you've just made me think about that one and I have to thank god, I can still do all those things. 😉

Old is a state of mind.

you can be 30 and be old, and be 80 and be young.

As for being a loser. That's also a state of mind. If you let others dictate how you are supposed to feel about yourself, then you are bound for failure.

Yes age is just a number and depending how you see yourself and how you present yourself.... no age doesn't matter..... But to society if you're OVER 30 and not married or haven't had any kids you're considered an old maid.... that there is something wrong with you.

I don't think @ 30 anyone could be considered an old maid. How many of those female in there 20's have been divorced. Anyways isn't the new phrase being circulated on t.v. that 40's are the new 30's.
