When Mods give reason for thier absences like Enigma did, or like Nessa and many others have, they are not removed as MODS. It's the ones that leave without a word that are relieved of MOD duties. BUt I think Jack will be looking for new ones again, not sure though.
 
like naya said, if enigma told jack a valid reason then he should keep his position. just like at a real job, if you take a leave of abscence you shouldnt lose your job.:1ok
