Question to all DJ's????

You need tha same cable you would use to hook up a portable CD player to you mixer -- technically, it's called a 1/4" mini-stereo (male) -to- twin RCA (male) cable ... I don't know of any other name for it...

the RCA plugs into your LINE-OUT on your mixer, preamp, tapedeck, vcr....(twin plugs)

the "quarter-inch-mini" must plug into your line-in on your sound board...(looks like a headphone jack for a walkman)

to use the line in on the computer (to be able to hear anything) you will have to use your windows mixer and turn on the line -in (it is most always muted) --- don't know about the windows mixer, double click, your volume control on your taskbar, or ??????

That's all you need [to do] to souce any external device with a line out or headphone jacks (different cable here, of course 🙂 ).

I'm out 🙂

RE :correction...

sorry about the 1/4 inch -- it's just called a stereo mini plug and its smaller --- keep in mind, a "jack" is female (go figure 🙂 ) ... anyway, if you have one with a 1/4" stereo plug, you can just by a 1/4" to mini adapter ----- 🙂 [I think its size [dia.] is 3/16" -- and the ultra mini that U use in your cell measures 1/8"]

It depens on your sound card. I use the Soundblaster live with front inputs. I use RCA's to 1/4 in. Some cards load from the back and require the miniplug to RCA's

I wanna hook my turntables to my computer
Do use the digital turntables? If you do they have the plugs you need already. If not see,the other posts and go through the mixer😉
