Hey just wanted your thoughts on this. Prince Harry went to a Party wearing a Nazi costume. After having a heated discussion with some co-workers I decided to bring this up on the boards. My co-workers were saying it was a costume and not a BIG deal. My opinion I thought it was tastless. I mean if I went to a party and someone wore KKK outfit I would have been offended. The Nazi's are ruthless and have no compassion towards the human race...they killed millions of Jews. As the Prince he should have known better then to wear something so controversal. I don't know.... anyways wanted some feedback. What are your thoughts on this? Would you be offended??
 
HELL YEAH! There was no call for him to wear that costume or not. :mad


There was a judge here in Louisiana that got suspended for a year without pay cuz he went to a Halloween party dressed in prison overalls and he painted his face black.

Know what I said? Good for his azz! How you gonna do something so damn stupid and NOT expect to get called on it? Dumbasses! *shakin head*
 
My Co Worker was like Then WHY wouldn't you get offended when people dress like the DEVIL.... he's EVIL! And I was like thats not the same..... and he was like WHY NOT and I said because the devil to some people is mysitcal ... unknown... HITLER was a REAL HUMAN BEING who did EVIL things towards a "group" of people all because he didn't like them ... or didn't think they deserve to live. When you dress up like that you're saying you supporting everything he believes in.
 
The devil hates everybody, The Nazis hated people who was of a diffrent religion or race. It was very tasteless. What, is he gonna to to a US party and dress like The KKK next!!!!??!!!!!!!
 
It was a really stupid idea. I can't believe he did this.

He has no idea how this will haunt him.

I'm willing to bet that a bunch of Neo Nazi sites already have pics up of it, and that the pics so the Royal Family's real feelings of the Nazis.
 
This is a stupid thing he did. I'm sorry, dressing as a nazi is not funny. It's not funny dressing as a group who killed millions of jews, nor is it funny dressing as the KKK a group who burned crosses in the yards of blacks in the south. This guys is an idiot!!
 
As a Jew, even though I didnt personally know anyone who died in the Holocaust, I find what Prince Harry did to be utterly tasteless. There is no excuse for it and it is NOT funny. A costume like that should not even be available for ANYONE to wear. Millions of innocent Jews died and that is not something to be taken lightly..whether you are Jewish or not. I agree with Chuck.,..I also wonder what Princess would have though of this.

You have a right to feel that way Randi!! It was tasteless. I'm not jewish, but I'm half black and I find it very tasteless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was not funny!!!

I agree with Heanenly, that would have never happened if his mother was still alive. On the other hand this guy is royalty and no matter how people feel about what he did, he's still untouchable. He can pretty much do whatever he wants. He can be seen as an itiot, but that would just make him a royal idiot. I'm sure the rest of his family is not to thrilled about what he did and I doubt you will ever see him do something that stupid again, but you can't change who he is, because he carries that blood. They're supposed to be held to a higher standard and I'm sure the rest of his family is going to clue him into that. Now differrent organizations are asking that the kid do something to make amends for what he did, but in reality the kid doesn't have to do anything because he doesn't loose anything either way. It's like having a free pass to do whatever you want and not get in trouble for it. He may never do anything bad enough to get thrown in jail, but do you really think they would put the prince in jail?

Keep in mind that america's own sudo version of the royal family, The Kennedy's (can't stand their arrogance) have a number of murderers in their family and who have also gotten away with it.

Wow, Heavenly, I never thought about it like that. I didn't think it was a big deal because it was only a costume (not that I agree with it). But for people that the Nazi's hurt, seeing that symbol must be the worst thing in the world for them to see so yes, it's wrong, but when you put it like that... if he wore a KKK costume that IS just tasteless (and I'm white). Somethings should be left alone and not made a joke of because honestly, there's nothing funny about the Nazi's or the KKK.

He's sorry and he didn't think, the tabloids should just leave him alone already.
 
Being a prince or a member of the royal family doesnt give him the right to do that...if I heard that ANYONE did that, I would feel the same way. Its wrong...period.

I know he is sorry and that his intentions weren't meant to disrespect but I think he simply didn't think of what the consequences would be. He is the Prince of England.... he has a reputation to uphold..... just seeing him act the way he did just showed that he didn't take History into consideration or maybe doesn't really comprend History from other cultures.
 
i thought this was crazy...i dont understand whats so funny about wearing a nazi sign.
and some1 at another message board i go to tried to defend him by saying "it was a fancy dress party" but umm...whats so fancy about that?! i still cant see it
 
I believe that I heard that Prince Charles is making the two princes visit one of the death camps in private, so they can see what it was really about without the press affecting them.

I agree. Whats weird is.. you know these people do not even dress themselves. So I wonder who let that slide?

I would also like to add.. that he made a stupid 'mistake.' Many of us made stupid mistakes when we were younger..some when we are older. I do not
think he has the same beleifs as a nazi.
 
a friend of mine went to a party this Halloween and there was a guy with a KKK outfit.. with the hood ..
and my friend is black.. but they told him b4 he walked in that a guy was dresses like that not to get offended...
and my friend was cool with it.. he didn't get offended..
