Hey guys

Here is a way you can help 2 great causes.

1. All proceeds go to a really good charity.

2. If this CD sells well Power 96 will have no choice but to put freestyle music back on the air.

If this CD sells the amount needed then we can get a major radio station in the US play freestyle again. Go to power96.com and purchase the CD. And email Kid Curry at power 96 and let him know how much you love the cd and want to hear it on the air more and more.

If you dont live in south florida go to power96.com and purchase it through the website or go to record store websites and order it throuhg there.

Please make sure you guys pick up this CD show your support and watch out for the record release party coming soon.

Please try and support this effort. I'd like to hear more freestyle on the radio down here! Do we know how many CDs they need to sell to turn the possibility into a reality?

I didn't find the link to purchase the CD Alex and ClubGirl. I only see the announcement. What did I miss? Heck, I'll email the station and ask.

EMAIL JAMMIN JOHNNY AND LET HIM KNOW

Thanks.

It just says coming soon! Did you see the purchase link? Thanks for the response emailed already.

Everyone should email this station and tell em u support the genre and glad to hear Power 96 is playing more freestyle. All our voices are important wherever we live. We have an opportunity here. Come on everyone make your freestyle voice heard. Maybe more stations like a station in your area will see Power 96 playing freestyle and then start to play some or more too.

hey you guys

come on

for everyone who complains about there not being freestyle on your radio station in your area here is your chance. Power 96 is like the 2 or third most influential station in the eastern US. Email them tell them you want to hear freestyle on the radio and its all a domino effect from there.

i am glad to hear

Paris,

that you agree with what i have said. listen you guys the truth is the following. If we dont support then it will never happen. Freestyle came into the scene with many didiculties and if we dont help and support it will have even a harder time to prevail.

WOW PARIS BY AIR!!

i use to love you guys soooo much when i was living in miami.
"voices in your heard" and "c'mon & dance with me" were my favorite songs back in the day. i still have both singles back home. i also remember that other song you had in the 90's with the other vocalist, it was hot! i hope you guys come back strong again, you got my support.....

yo Alex i will be flying down to miami next month to hopefully get an interview with jammin' johnny for my Freestyle documentary which me and my boy are putting together. i have to call Johnny!

Yes, as one of the bands on the CD I'm about to email Johnny some words of encouragement! The point made here is dead-on, yesterday's freestyle finding its way back on the air is the best way to assure that the freestyle stars of tomorrow get a chance to shine!

Paris By Air

OH MY GOD!!!! PARIS BY AIR!!!! THANKS FOR POSTING TO LET US KNOW YOU SEE, READ, AND COMMENT ON WHAT'S BEING SAID HERE AT C/F

When I heard Johnny's mix last Friday he played the first 7 songs off the CD..and one of the songs was Paris By Air.

Listen to this..THIS IS FUNNY,,I THINK...

I was in the Drive thru of Pollo Tropical on US1 and 27th Avenue, and when Paris By Air came on,,,(you know the first beat?),,,I JUST CRANKED UP THE RADIO SO FREAKING LOUD that the guy in front of me stepped out of this car to say,,,,"Excuse me, but can you please lower your radio"???? ...lmao...i SMILED & SAID,,,"OH I'm so sorry, but I have not heard this song IN A VERY LONG TIME AND I JUST LOVE IT"...THE GUY SMILED AND SAID I UNDERSTAND, BUT PLEASE, IT'S TOO LOUD."

SO, PARIS, I ALMOST GOT MY *ss IN TROUBLE...HAHAHA, BUT DID NOT CARED.

PARIS BY AIR

Thanx for posting and showing support. Johnny @Power96 is trying hard and the support from the artists as well as the fans would be awesome.

Hey Paris

thanks for posting on the site. You put out some great music.

And yes BBoy3000- yes i love to be interviewed for your documentary. just say when and where.

this is so great!!!!

I'm so proud to be part of such a great effort --- to bring back the music that we all love and grew up listening to!!!!

Seeing all the people showing support for our music (and the memories that come with it) is beyond words!!!!!

Marlon, all the best with the documentary!!! Please let me know if i can also provide anything to help! I guess you're gonna tape at different locations like Rick's Bar, Facade & 1235-Decos? Too bad Six Flags Atlantis is no longer there!!!

I just want to recap the Coro concert at Radius:

The concert was O.K......nothing like we're use to seeing from Coro but i think it's because the crowd was pretty much dead. The pictures are being developed and will have them soon.

Paris by Air brings back so many memories....."Come on and dance with me" & "Voices in your head" bring back awesome memories of when we were young & wreaking havoc all over Miami.....remember when the most important thing was breaking curfew and hooking up with the most popular girl? I even remember Paris by Air's Christmas song!!!! In fact there is also "New York City X-mas" by Cynthia & "December" by Expose

Peeps: Alcazaba's happy our with DJ Gregorio is strong with Freestyle!!!! I'm there every Wednesday & it's great!!! The outside patio is jammin with FS & retro...& lots of nostalgics!!!!

I wish the people at Power would realize how much Freestyle means to those who grew up listening to Power!!! There is nothing as romantic and heart-felt as our music!!!! Who can ever forget those memories?? Anyway i hope to see everyone there at the record release party!!!

Hit me up whenever you want -- mdelgado@fgo.org

yo Mike when is the record release party???

Hey marlon

The record release party looks like the second week of Dec. at lease thats what johnny told me. but i will keep you informed

Marlon, thanks! That's awesome. Yep, it was "I'm Serious" that we released in 1992 when Haydee moved to New York to try a solo deal while Teri became our new singer. It was Teri singing on "All Around the Sound" which became a decent club hit in Europe (but not here) back in 1996.

Freestylevet, man, I know that Pollo Tropical well. Great story. Since we hear ourselves fewer and farther between nowadays I get an even bigger kick when we show up on the radio. Just be careful out there. I'd hate to think that we were responsible for some other driver going batty on a PBA fan!!! It's why I'm rooting for Johnny and we'll do our best to help his Sunday School show and the CD release.

Mike, hey!!! Yep, 1235, Atlantis, all great memories. Atlantis was our first public show and it went terrible. This was before our Columbia release and we were opening up for Expose. Only thing was that Expose was late and there was no opening act announced. So, we go onstage, folks are expecting Point of No Return and we're there doing a song they hadn't heard at the time. It didn't go well, but things got good in a hurry.

We played at Atlantis one more time, with Timmy T, and that show truly rocked.

1235. We played Club Nu a ton of times too. It was a great time to be clubbing in Miami! As for the Christmas song, "It's Another Holiday" even got turned into Muzak. Yep, we became elevator music. It's actually out most played song on the radio, as strange as that may seem.

Clubgirl, yep, agreed completely!

yo Rick i remember thaT Show at Atlantis...i even have it recorded on tape since it was aired on power 96. it was you along with Timmy t and .....i think it was india but i could be wrong....i forgot but it was a lot of fun bro. power had freestyle shows there ever friday...i remeber i saw trinere, sweet sensation, company b, g.t., pajame party, soave, tonasia, sandee, secret society, erotic exotic, mercy merci, 4-real, teaz 2 pleaz, sasha and sooo many others. Atlantis kicked ass back in the day....club nu was also dope!

Bboy, yep, that was the Atlantis show! It was the only time we played the same night as Timmy T, which was pretty cool because One More Try was peaking on the charts and we got to hang out a little bit backstage. He was very cool and down to earth.

While we often found ourselves running into the same folks time and time again (George LaMond -- who was on our label, as well as Taylor Dayne, Linear, Debbie Deb, etc.) there were always those who you only crossed paths with once.

We once shared the stage with Stacy Q. This was in Appleton, Wisconsin, with about a foot of snow outside. We're Miami kids, so we're hooping it up outside, having a snowball fight and the like. Inside, we were just the opening act, but when Stacy saw that we had different dressing rooms and with no grub backstage she invited us over to her area and shared the food.

aaww the memories!!!!!

Rick:

Words can't express the wonderful memories that groups such as yours bring back. Whether it was Atlantis, Club One, Emerald, Rick's Bar or Escapades & Egoiste, freestyle was & is a big part of my life. "Voices in your head" is a beautiful track. It's the lyrics, rhythm & memories of freestyle that make the music so great. Every time I go to happy hour Wednesdays, i do it because of the music that we grew up listening. Marlon, remember wreaking havoc here in Miami?? When staying up late & hooking with your dream person was all that mattered? I can't wait for the next show!!! Marlon, we have to meet up when you fly down!!!!!!! WE need to hang!!!!

Anyway, All the best to all my friends

keep our music alive
