Right know I am looking at my music collection,I have alot of traditional FREESTYLE and popular music from the 80's and today, and one thing I have noticed alot of the pop music has FREESTYLE especially in the 80's FLASHBACK................POP FREESTYLE......................... :yeey

NIA PEEPLES-"NOTHING BUT TROUBLE",which should be called nothing but freestyle. There's also mixes of "TROUBLE" and "I KNOW HOW(TO MAKE YOU LOVE ME).A GREAT CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOMMY PAGE-His first cd is definitly FREESTYLE,his second cd has a duet with SAFIRE!

SAMANTHA FOX-"TOUCH ME,"NAUGHTY GIRLS",and"I WANNA HAVE SOME FUN"

STACEY Q-"WE CONNECT","TWO OF HEARTS",ETC....

ALYSSA MILANO-"You lied to me"sounds like shana/freestyle,REMIXES ETC..she's not just an actor(CHARMED/WHOS THE BOSS)also sang pop in late 80's.

AND remember dance songs by,JODY WATLEY,MARTIKA,DEBBIE GIBSON,MENUDO,ETC.....ALSO people today seem to have a FREESTYLE sound like MADONNA,JORDAN KNIGHT,BRITNEY SPEARS,KYLIE MINOGUE,JENNIFER LOPEZ,LUMIDEE,BACKSTEET BOYS,even artists in hiphop like SARAI!!!!WELL who says FREESTYLE is dead?????It's still alive just under the pop name.

If I were to consider pop freestyle I would think of
ACE OF BASE
hmm mabe timex social club
sonique..
I guess they would fit into that category
Hell for that matter
cher's "strong enough"
it all has a pop feel
But we know the true freestyle ..lol

I thought Jody Watley's Want Me, and Mariah Carey's Prisoner of Love sounded like freestyle.there was one song by New Kids On the Block that sounded like freestyle too.

Also there was TAYLOR DAYNE-"TELL IT TO MY HEART"full-length,and she admits her music is meant for latino and black audiences. And it's clear that the tell it my heart Album sounded more latino.Than there was PEBBLES with "MERCEDES BOY"&"GIRLFRIEND".

New Edition- Kinda Girls We Like.

This one was never a single but I remember listening to their 1984 self titled album that has this single and it sounded so much like freestyle to me. I always kept that in mind and wondered what you guys might've considered it being if it were ever released to the masses.

Out of all mentioned so far....only 3 songs I would consider very close to freestyle....

1. Jody Watley- Dont You Want Me
2. Nia Peeples- Nothing But Trouble
3. Pebbles- Girlfriend

.....In my opinion those tracks are freestyle.

Taylor Daynes "Tell It To My Heart" and "Prove Your Love" was already considered freestyle by most.

YEAH,TAYLOR was.BUT not that many people know that. And NIA PEEPLES-"NOTHING BUT TROUBLE"full-length I do consider to be a well made FREESTYLE album,it definitly sounded like a CYNTHIA/POPULAR FREESTYLE artist album.
