Would someone explain to me his or her definition of a Freestyle song/track? Over here in England, Freestyle as we know it isn't as widely known. But there are a few songs of late that sound very similar in one-way or another. Now to me I define certain types of freestyle by the beat & lyrical content.
Old school freestyle = Electro
I wonder if I take u home, Love is on her mind, Bad of the heart, yo no se
New school freestyle= Break beats
Temptation, together forever, two wrongs, heartbreaker, Maria, Fallen angel
Progressive freestyle= Planet rock & different drum breaks
If I had the chance, give me all your love, my imagination, lately, tears.
If I've got this wrong pls let me know, but in my defence, I have been following freestyle since 1987.
On my web page, I refer to Freestyle music in 2 ways, for the U.K. market, as to differentiate it from freestyle rap music, which is more commonly referred to.
1. Sexy Freestyle=sweet vocals
2. 3style
