I must say we had a great time at the event!
Scot & Co really put something special together. Everyone was nice (as usual), Sandeé's family, all the fans, the music, everything was great. 😀
(Many of us busted our asses as we hadn't rollerskated in years! - lol)
My boi had a great time skating with Sequal.
Sequal tore it up! Nyasia - class act as always, Paris By Air, Olga, Jayquan, & Voice In Fashion were great as well, (love the lead singer's voice from VIF!), and Tito was a kool host.
Laurie Miller opened up the show with a kick-ass version of "Love Is Our Destiny" (as vintage footage of X-POSED performing it played on the big screens). Great Freestyle track, yet very haunting. Many of you have seen the beginning part of the video, but then it got interesting with more never-before-seen footage.
Below is the video that played. In Laurie's words:
"This is the video Roll-In I edited for the Sandeé Benefit with my non vocal track."
These 3 kids did a medley to Point Of No Return" & other Miami Bass classics.
Alot of fun to watch! They should be on TV!
Only thing was Vanessa Conde & D'Luna couldn't make it. 🙁
Arlene didn't perform, but I heard she was there. (Not sure, as I did not see her) but I really wanted to!!!
Gioia sang a brand new song (a sad one), and had everyone in tears. Then ended with "Let Me Be The One". Company B ended the show with "Full Circle" & Fascinated" HAWT performance!
At the end, all of the performers got on stage together to sing & dance to "Notice Me" as a vintage clip of Sandée performing it on Dance Party USA played in the background. Then Scot & Gioia BROKE IT DOWN!!! - lol!
That was hilarious! All in all a great night to remember.
