Okay. So Party 105.3, the Long Island radio station that plays more Freestyle than anyone, is possibly moving to 92.7? Did I read that correctly? If so, this could be the move we need to hear Freestyle in Western Suffolk, Nassau and the city...

Does anyone have any more details on this? And is there any email contact information that we can use to let them know lots of people would listen to them?
 
where have you heard this? ive been listening to 92.7 all day (so much better than ktu, different selction of music) and they never made a mention of leaving the airwaves!

THE ARTICLED NOTED HOW POPULAR 105.3 IS IN L.I., HOW THEY PLAY SO MUCH MORE DANCE MUSIC..NEW & OLD. NOT JUST FROM THE U.S. BUT ALSO FROM EUROPE ETC. NEW SOUNDS OUT OF MIAMI, CLUB PLAY, SOME HOUSE & TRANCE. BASICALLY ALL THE GOOD STUFF KTU IGNORES & WE NEVER HEAR.

THE ARTICLE ALSO MENTIONED THAT 105.3 WAS TRYING TO MOVE MORE OF THIER FORMAT TO 92.7 B/C IT REACHED THE CITY & A LITTLE BEOND.
THEY DID NOT SAY THEY WOULD TAKE OVER COMPLETELY OR CHANGE FORMATS ENTIRELY..ALTHOUGH WE CAN DREAM. THERE GOAL (105.3) IS TO GET REACH
MORE PEOPLE W/ THE MUSICE THEY PLAY..SO 92.7 IS AN OPTION.

ANOTHER THING...105.3 JUST LOST THIER PROGRAM DIRECTOR...SKYWALKER..WHICH IS NOT GOOD..HE WENT TO KTU. ACCORDING TO FRANKIE BLUE...KTU WILL NOT BE GEARING IT'S FORMAT TOWARDS THAT OF 105.3....HE IS QUOTED "THE FANS DECIDE WHAT KTU PLAYS"

105.3 sucks, ktu might be slow on new dance music, but at least they play freestyle, but 105.3 is very freestyle UNFRIENDLY.
 
because you might here a freestyle song every once in a while, but they are mostly into house, trance, progressive dance music.
 
it's more a matter of playing some good dance music that is not heard much b/c it's not main stream.
ever look at the online KTU playlist....do i really need to hear Pink 68 times a day...or Hero 55 times...
not saying they aren't good artist or songs..BUT give it a rest...extend the playlist.
there is such a diverse culture here in a new york....we should be about more than the main stream. top 40 crap we get fed!
thats why i love my trips to Florida...b/c there is always GOOD MUSIC...whether it be freestyle..house trance...on more than 1 station...we don't even get ONE station that does that...we get KTU...SICK OF IT ALREADY!
 
philly, its OK not to like KTU and everything, but if you're gonna argue, at least use up to date information and not facts from 3 years ago. "Pink" and "Hero" are from 2001. Frankie Blue hasn't been the program director for almost a year now and Skyy hasn't been at Party 105 for like 3 years now, he's been at KTU. No song on the playlist gets more than 40-50 plays a week. If you don't believe me, go look on the website. I'm not bashing you for not liking KTU or anything, but at least if you're gonna argue your point, don't use ridiculously outdated information
