Okay I went out to Barnes and Nobles today and bought the book "Juiced" by Jose Canseco. Not for me. For my hubby. What do you think? Should I have supported this character or what? I just thought it would be interesting for my hubby to read about the steroids exposure.

Well, it's very interesting. Yes, Canceco is a wild character who ruined his own carrer. yes, he might have an agenda, but some times; you wonder wheter he is right about what has happened. Like I said in my thread about this. Was that whole era a big lie?

Thanks Mike. 🙂

I just oredered it myself for my sons daddy I am sure it will make for interesting reading if anything lol

Well, he's obviously become even more famous now. Steroid use in any sport is nothing new, nor is it shocking anymore. It's very common in High School & College.

But to answer your question, why buy the book when you can get everything you need to know from CNN, MSNBC, & the Associated Press?

I wouldn't support his sorry azz. I don't care how many stories he has.. I think he's a loser! Anyone that beats on their significant other, no matter how famous, is a loser. I wouldn't give him a fkn penny!

El es come miercoles! 1st of all, I do believe steroids is quite rampant in baseball, and I also believe Marc McGwire was on the stuff (if anyone has his rookie card with the Oakland A's and compares it to his years with the Cardinals, U know what I mean). But to call out names of CURRENT players was quite low.

I heard catcher Ivan Rodriguez helped him out of money issues in the past & he Canseco like the come miercoles he is shouted Ivan out. That's foul. He may make a quick buck with the book but he's lost all his friends that's for sure.

Thats a good present for someone that's into sports so definitely good choice. Damn, I have to go buy my own copy!! As far as supporting Canseco, yeah, he's a loser, but half the shyt he's saying is true so a sports fan whether you like him or not, your going to be interested in the book.

Im a fan of sports..Baseball, Basketball etc..but I'll be damned if im gonna help an SOB like him w/my hard earned $$..There's nothing he has to say that makes me interested in reading it.. Sorry..I just hate the azzhole!

What I get from the idea of the book, is that it's not fair for the honest person who is busting his heart out everyday to be a better baseball player and then, you have these people who have to cheat to get what they want. I played college ball in Louisiana and I knew lots of guys who took steriods. Some of those guys even got drafted just because of there size. Scouts will take size over heart and skill. Baseball is just a bunch of politics.
