i was doin some cleanin in the livin room in this cabinet that i have.....well sort of lol and i took out this box full of cassette tapes that i havent listen to in god knows how long and i got tapes from wayyyyy back!!! i was like no fukin way meng i found tapes of this dj i use to know of stuff he recorded for me with sound effects and the whole nine some cool shit but the best thing about it is that i found like about 20 tapes of nothin but freestyle 😱 tapes i didnt think i had i also found a few house tapes of strickly house music some of todd terry stuff just to give ya an example and i heard songs and i mean some of the best old jams of freestyle which im still listening to right now that are bringing so much good memories wow...

i also happen to record 2 tapes but found 1 :mad cono of a live event at emerald city it was one of the biggest concerts of that time i was gonna go but i miss it this took place like more than 10 yrs back when HOT 97fm use to play nothin but freestyle those days for those that remember that shit holla! on the tape is has its mess up parts but fuk it the live performance sounds pretty good that day the artist were...

Damn, bro! You're taking it back! I remember all that good shit. Those were the days when I was way too young to even think about going to Emerald City. We're talking 1990! Yo, keep those tapes man. Keep them in a safe place so that 15 years from now you'll still be listening to them. I found a box of tapes that was sitting in my parents attic of Hot 97 back in the Freestyle days, and crazy old cassette singles. I love it.

Best thing to do would be to make copies of those tapes so that you'll always have them Al. 🙂

oh dayum..like me..all my favorite djs..mine were stolen from my so called best friends basement..where i stored crates of vinyl and cassettes,for a month and they were gone.. 🙁
 
rEMEMBER WHEN THEY USETO HAVE "hot night" 1 & 2 ETC..... WITH ALL FREESTYLE SINGERS PERFORMING i STILL HAVE A COUPLE ON TAPE.....
 
i remember hot night with jellybean when he opened up with the atlantic version of only in the night, i remember going crazy trying to find it..
