On July 6, the olympic committee with annouced who will host the 2012 summer olympics. In the running are new york, london and paris.

do you think new york should be given the honor? yes or no? and why?
 
I wold love for us to get it but I doubt we will all that drama trying to and they might have turned the committee off with all there personal mierda in trying to lure them over here.
 
It's 2005. Why are they even thinking about something that's a good 7 years down the line?

Even if it was in NY, can you imagine all the bullshit that's going to come with the several thousand additional people, all the security, the detours, closings, etc.

I guarantee you now that it will not happen in NY, even though the city would benefit in an economic aspect, the majority of the people who live in Manhattan would probably rally against it.
 
wouldn't care one way or the other about the olympics in NYC, I'm just glad they didn't build that stupid Jets stadium in Manhattan..... :bangbang
 
it'd be NUTS in new york - but in a bad way. think about the traffic! it's bad enough they have it in a crowded place like beijing in 2008 (instead of toronto 🙁 LOL).. athens was a comfortable city for the games last year. new york's up against paris, london, madrid, and moscow. and madrid's looking good apparently

I watch the Olympics each time they come on, but the Winter games are my faves.
