The miami society of freestyle labels and companies afiliated with freestyle, the Freestyle conservatory, and many other members of the dance music community have now officially marked the month of OCTOBER as NATIONAL/InTERNATIONAL FREESTYLE APRECIATION MONTH.
What this means is that the freestyle and dance community now take the month of october to not only to reflect and recognize The way freestyle has evolved and is evolving over the years, but also bring back light and credibility to the pioneers of the scene, as well as to bring recognition to the next generation of key players in the scene.
All websites are asked to participate in celebrating this freestylemonth, by adding/building a banner that reflects the topic : National Freestyle apreciation month.Banners are to be displayed over the month of OCTOBER.
promoters and organizers are asked to throw at least one or two functions catering to freestyle (old school or new freestyle/breaks formats)through out the month of OCTOBER.
fans are asked to call and write to radio stations and request both new and classic forms of freestyle.
2003 marks the exact 20 year aniversary when freestyle records started forming and have not stoped since then.
All this to represent the spirit and celebrate the contributions Freestylemusic has had on the american and international dance music community and Recording industry.
may that spirit live forever.
