TONY I LOVE THE ALBUM!!!
i got the last copy at hmv in NYC. i haven't stopped playing it bro. most def the best freestyle album i heard in years.
amazing vocals! the production is great but the only thing i wasn't feeling was that almost all the songs have the same sound so it's hard to tell them apart, not saying they are bad cuz i love them all but maybe switch it some with different sounds and producers in the next one.
i love the intro to the cd-hot!
here are my favorites
"torn by two"
"it's not right"
"i will go on without you"
"what i found"
"your my angel"
"black magic woman"
"forbidden love" (the intro is soo hot)
can't wait to see you guys perform

Wow Marlon you liked a a few of the tracks , thats awsome.
As for the sound for the second album we will work on that.
We have since then aquired new sounds to use for just that purpose.
We wanted to give this album an all around united sound, for example the "NO DOUBT" latest album most of the songs sound withi the same family of production but thats just for that one album. If you look at many bands they have a signature sound for every album and that was what we were trying to capture.
At the same time we did not want a planet rock loop around any of the tracks , just to give the fans something different from the norm.
If you listen to some of the tracks you will hear different bass line changes from one verse to the next or a different string melody all together.
The drums were important to us because we wanted a strong drum sound, Pompeo programed each drum as if he were playing the drums on a drum set.
Pompeo was a drummer back in the day and believe me it is amazing to see him at work.
Many producers use a repeatitive drum loop , but Pompeo feels like he is being programed so he rather sit there and creat the drums as if he were playing live.
We have some great new music that we are currently working on and hopefully it will do as well as this first Nu Image album has done for us.
i hear what your saying bro. no doubt pompeo did an amazing job, those beatz are banging' kid. it was hard to tell them apart at first but not anymore since i been listening to this album non-stop since i got it. it's on my i-pod and i take it everywhere i go. your album blows everything thats out there bro. on da realz this is the best album i heard in a long time. those vocals have so much passion in them which is what i love and miss in freestyle and production is slammin'! i LOVE the sound on "black magic woman" and my favorite "torn by two, especially in the break when you guys sing the line "now i'm feeling so alone, my heart cant take it no....sweeters days have come", then the breakbeat kicks in...oh man that just gives me goose bumps. you guys deserve a lot of airplay, you are most def the future our music. i haven't seen you peform yet but im dying to bro. i tried to go to hmv but when i called no one knew anything, they transferred me to three different departments and they didn't no a thing about you performing. i was pissed when i heard you guys were there later ugh!
i wish i could catch you at latin quarters but my boyz want to go hit the copa but i will see you soon.
looking forward to your new material also....
much luv and success tony

All the album needs is for listeners to give it a chance and you can better appreciate it.
Some people exspect to here a full album of oldschool 90's freestyle but we are in a different time.
we did however give some of the tracks an old school feel but thats more for the fans than industry.
The music industry will shy away from those tracks the sound is dated and we know that.
At the same time we wanted to give our fans some of what they first recognized Nu Image for.
I have to say though they had an oldschool feel to them , they were not cheesy tracks.
Now for the new album we are working on a different sound a new fresh sound.
We need mainstream radio support and this is the only way.
I hope our fans stick by us on this journey to a new sound and though it will be different in a music aspect we will try to continue to capture that vocal element you have all come to recognize frm Nu Image.
We need to grab the mainstream radios attention and we are planning to do so, so please stand strong with Nu Image as we get set to take it to Freestyle as Freestyle did for disco to a new forefront L.U.D.M or LATIN URBAN DANCE MUSIC
CF turned me on to Nu Image especially "Mardi Gras" Krystal! I heard some previews on the web site so I just ordered the CD and the 12". As soon as I get them and take a listen I will be back with my review!
I Think We Will Be Using These Album Reviews On Our New Nu Image Website Which Will Relaunch In 2005.
