The last time I was on here (a very long time), Wilma Cosme(Safire) had just announced she was leaving the name Safire and moving on to a new genre, does anyone know what she sings now and whatname she uses?

as far as i know, she is going by her married name "wilma diaz" - apparently she is working on a whole new genre of music, which promises to be slammin.

i don't know if her music is completed, or if she's on a label now. as to when her new stuff comes out, who knows???

but she really seems to take her time with her music -

1988 1st album, 1991 2nd album, 1996 third album, 2001 fourth album -at this rate, i would think by 2004 -
 
I wish her the Best In anything that she does because she a very talent women and so is Her Husband Kenny Diaz is too.

There is nothing hillarious about it FreestylePete. As a "so called" biggest supporter the part where the actual supporting comes in is when you follow her career where she may take it. Wilma is one of the most talented artist to ever have touched the INDUSTRY I say industry because she has done so much. Right now she is taking some time out for her and her family and yes in between working on her music but there is absolutly nothing funny about an artist of her caliber moving onto bigger and better thing in the end its her voice who will bless every track she puts out as it was with everything she has already given the industry. She pops in every now and then you never know when 😉

safire is knows her craft and does it very well - u can't say that much about other freestyle artists.

Pete, that is not nice to say, this artist has been around a very long time, has had alot more hits than anyone that alot of you like to mention, this woman has great vocals is very beautiful and has some of the most beautiful songs in Freestyle, and just because she is going to try something new your gonna play her like that? I don't think so, see it's sit like this that pisses me off, why, after this woman has put out such great hits as, "boy I've been told", "thinkin of you", "Love is on her mind", "Let me be the one", "DOn't break my heart" and countless others, your gonna diss her because she wants to try something new? THAT to me is hilarious. I know peeps will have thier opinions about artists, but this women is one not to be dissed or mentioned in a negative way. she doesn't diss the fans like alot of these so called "icons" that ya like to praise as "queens of freestyle". This is definitely one that deserves respect from everyone.

NYASIA is right and Safire does deserve alot of props.But, I do wish she did keep the Safire name.Brenda k. starr,George Lamond,Nayobe,Marc Anthony,India,etc..all have kept their names and are still successful with their loyal following and new fans.She deserves that name Safire(one of the Queens of Freestyle)its a good name.Whatever she decides I will support her,even if she becomes the artist formerly known as safire.Love ya Safire/wilma diaz(cosme)
 
Maybe Safire wants "different" all together. And in being different you can't do or be like anyone else. I'm sure she has a good head on her shoulders and knows exactly what she's doing. Maybe she will come back as "Safire" one day in the different music genre. Then again, maybe she'll have her different name as peole say they've been hearing. That's okay too. What matters is the kind of Artist she will be again. She had no problem with "freestyle" which gives me no doubt that she will be a hell of an artist once again. 😉
