Every year you hear people talking about New Years Resolutions.....well, have you given thought to the New Year now that we're almost near the end of 2004? Is there anything that's going to be different for you in 2005? Any special and exciting things happening for you in 2005? Changes with work, love, etc???

As for me, I don't know of any exciting things that are coming my way yet, but for now all I can hope for is a better year. (of course) That my family remain with good health, safe, and can prosper in all they endeavor.

I appreciate what I have and never get greedy by wanting more. If something is meant for me, it'll happen. If not, I'm satisfied. I'm satisfied with just waking up in the morning and being blessed with another day of life to enjoy with my family and friends.

At the end of an Old year, I think of my family that have passed on and try to reminise on the good times we had. And although I miss them and become sad, I understand that they're at peace now.

So I'm wishing you all here a very Happy New Year and hope you all prosper in ways that you wish. 🙂

Glad It's over

I am so glad this year is over. I go through life thinking that I can do anything I set my mind too, but occasionally I lose focus and when your pushing 40 with a wife and 4 kids you really don't have much room to lose focus.

This last year has been very tough for me and mine. I was layed off about 2 years, ago shortly after 9/11 and I've had trouble landing another job (over qualified, too much experience, too expensive) I had to sell my huge house (3400 sqf.) earlier this year before it got foreclosed on, so you can say I'm glad this year is over. I guess the majority of my luck can be attributed to this tough economy, but having said that I'm still a conservitive republican and believe that you have to work hard for what you want and nothing in this life is free.

Things are looking better but the wife had to get a job after being a stay at home mom for the last 14 years, but you know sometime life throws obstacles your way and you just have to roll with it and keep pushing forward.

The best thing is that we are all healthy and happy as a family and we are positively looking forward to this new year. 2005 is going to be a good year for us.

Best of luck to all.

Well for me in 2005, I'm going to continue with the diet an exercise progam. I've lost 75 of the 110 pounds I wanted to lose, and I am determined to finish this. I also plan on having the resolution to quit biting my nails, and to control my frivilous spending. Finally, I want 2005 to be the "Year of the Boyfriend" for me. I finally feel like I'm ready mentally to be a good boyfriend to someone, and I'm ready to have one.

I also do this LaBetty. Just last week I was thinking about both of my grandmothers, who passed in 2003. I miss them, but thought of some of the funny stories that I have because of them, and it made me laugh.

Happy New Year to you too LaBetty! Never change! You are truely a class act!
