I have to thank the lord every single day.
Im sorry for those who lost loved ones on this day Im sorry that people had to go through so much pain and Im upset that we must go through that feeling of hate, but I must thank God every single day for not taking my aunt away.
You or some one you know was affected in one way or another on 9-11 and everyone has a story
heres my story......
9-11-01 I wake up at 8 05 put on the tv channel 5 news was on I didnt pay much attention because I wanted to see Maury (at that time he came on at 8 am and then a 10) so I put on channel 11 and see that the news was on there too, so there replaying the video of what happened with the first tower I called my mom and asked her what building my aunt works in she asked why and I told her to turn on the tv at her job. as soon as they did a live shot of tower one I witnessed the other plane hit tower two thats when I bugged out and started worrying about my aunt my mother told me to get in contact with her and unfortunatly Cell phone lines were dead. WE both stood on the phone my mother freaking out because my aunt we were unable to get in contact with her and we sat there over the telephone as she and I watched in two differant locations the towers falll my mother was hysterical but for some reason I didnt cry maybe because I felt I had to be strong for both of us, I told her I would call her back as soon as I got in contact with my aunt and at around 1 my aunt came in with her husband and was hysterical I then called my mom and let her speak to my aunt. My Aunt Pauline worked in WTC building 7 on the 17th floor I believe For Solomon Smith and Barney her building was the second to last building that fell. My aunt usually goes with her husband to eat at wonders of the world before her job begins but for some reason that day something told her not to.

THank You Lord for giving her more time with us. I would not know what I would do If she wasnt her

Wow!

I remember being on my way to work when the first plane hit. As I pulling into work, the reporter was saying that it was NOT a terrorist attack. Then, the second plane hit.

We got word to close the bank and send everyone home. I got home and called my friend Cor. Her husband (my buddy Mike) works in the city. When I got in touch with her, she was frantic. Mike goes into the city with his dad every day. His dad worked in Tower #2, so he walks by it every day.

I drove to her house to keep her company. Only thing we knew was they were delayed getting into the city because Mike's alarm didn't go off that morning. Cor finally got a call from Mike. Because they were delayed, they got to WTC just as the first plane hit. Mike went to his job, and his dad never entered the building. They managed to find each other, and get home safely.

I was in the lobby of my office building when another co worker walked in looking shaken... I asked her what was wrong and she said she saw someone coming out of the coffee shop saying a plane had hit one of the twin towers. I kinda laughed and said if that had happened wouldn't there be announcements? More people talking about it.. a commotion? Little did I know.. as soon as we got off the elevator my boss was turning on the TV and we all watched as the 2nd plane went into the second building. We were all paralyzed with fear. We were on 28th street.. what if they hit the Empire State building?
The phones started ringing immediately. One of my best friends called to ask me what building another best friends brother worked at in the Towers. I said I didn't know. So we both tried to reach her. The best friend that called me worked 3 blocks from the towers and said she wanted to leave but they wouldn't let her ... all of a sudden she screams and I look up at the tv and see the first tower coming down.. she said it got dark in her office and she was being evacuated. 3 hours later, she walked into my office.. she had walked from wall street all the way to 28th. Completely covered in cement dust. By the time we got home we already knew that Jose Ramon Castro, the brother of our best friend and a brother to us, was on the top floor of building one. We cried and cried and prayed that he survived, but realized in our grief that no one could survive on the floors above where the plane crashed. About 5 hours later, I was informed that a very close family friend.. a man full of life and a firefighter, Dennis Mojica was also killed trying to rescue people from the buildings. It almost felt like the end of the world. And for many it was the end of their world as they knew it. Many did not make it home that night. Or any night after that.

God bless all the innocent people who died on that day. May they sleep peacefully until our lord and saviour Jesus Christ returns to wake them and raise them up to his holy kingdom.
And for those left with emptiness at the loss of a loved one... may his love and gift of time, bring closure to the open wound in your heart, and may your faith give you strenth to carry on until you see your loved one again in heaven!

God bless us all. Be safe!
