the reason i am posting it is because it was about my first experience
with meeting some of you at the wild palm also got an A
maybe this might explain things about me
An event that I attended that had a great impact was a freestyle concert that I attended July 3rd of last year at a night club called the Wild Palm in the Bronx. I have been to many clubs and shows, but this is the first time I attended with VIP guest list access because of an association with a great website devoted to Freestyle music called clubfrestyle.com which have been part of almost two years this March.
The show was to give a break and promote new artists. There were about a dozen new artists including Grey, Ashley and Manny, who were among the new artists to perform plus many of the legends of freestyle such as Nyasia, Sam Savon and Tonaisa who where the MC’s for the night plus Coro, Joey Kidd, Suave and Judy Torres who performed that night. First performer went on at about 10pm and the last about four am.
The night was truly special because I had a chance to meet new friends and get to listen to favorite freestyle artists perform live. The night started when I met a few of the people from clubfreestyle that I now call my friends the first three were Amy, Veronica and Al at TGI Friday’s in NYC for dinner. Then we took the subway to the Bronx and a cab from the subway to the Wild Palms. The show was a great way to put faces to names of a lot more people from the website who have grown to become good friends.
There were people like Krystal who is from New Orleans and often travels to New York for shows like this and Harry who was up from Florida, plus other clubfreestyle members like Freddie and his twin sister Nancy and of course the creator of the website JackG
Also met DJ’s High Tech and Paradise who are based in Buffalo NY have their own website plus a Saturday evening internet radio show devoted to freestyle as well. This was turning out to be more of a happening then a concert.
Having VIP access was really a great experience I was able to hangout and meet a lot of the artists and even taken pictures with them. The VIP area was packed so I was not able to meet all but did meet with all the new artists and met the legends that I wanted to meet the most including Nyasia and Judy Torres are my Favorite freestyle singers and even had a picture taken Judy Torres. Also met great new talented artist’s Ashley, Manny and Grey.
The show want on until almost after four am turned out to be one of the best times I have had found myself hole lot of new friends who had a lot of other things in common other then the love of music and found myself becoming a better person because of it.
