My Confession

Forgive me father for I have sinned
I opened my heart and allowed him to come in
I've said too much and mentally lusted
After someone I've grown to love and even trusted
Forgive me father cast this devil out!
I knew it was all wrong but never had doubts
Never thought I would feel this way
Missing days of laughter and times we played
Only he could understand the way I feel
I guess it just took a little time to reveal
That in life we have a purpose, we have roles that we play
I guess my time was up and it's been casted away
Or was that your plan? Was it meant to be?
A lesson learned? A part of destiny?
So why does it hurt? I feel so torn
I become upset as I sit and I mourn
Lost without words engulfed with this feeling
Maybe each drop is my personal way of healing
From all the pain that is trapped within
Forgive me father for I have sinned.
