This weekend, I watched the Whale Rider DVD. It was a great movie. The beginning of the movie had a very depressing scene where the little girl's mother(little girle is Kiesha Castle Hughes) die before she gives birth to her. I almost bailed the movie because of the scene. And we all know about the whip scene in The Passion.

My question is, what do you think is the mostdepressing scene in a movie?
 
Steel magnolias when she dies & baby was crying its brains out...
 
in untamed heart when the character played by christian slater, dies and the character played by Marisa Tomei, finds a gift from him even though it was his bday. i think it was really sad cause she finally found true love and had it taken away from her so soon.

I love Whale Rider! My saddest scene would have to be in the movie called The JoyLuck Club when the the daughter of a chinese immigrants finds out that her mother didnt kill her 2 children during the chinese revolution. She abdanoned them but they were recovered by someone. Well, worth a look.

mine too. i even cry when i watch it. also i love A BED OF ROSES with Christian Slater, but it has a happy ending.

see hun we have o much in common. lets watch it together.
 
The scene in Terms of Endearment when Debra Winger's character says goodbye to her children before she dies.
 
OMG, this is way to hard for me to answer, I cried like a baby in all of those scenes...

I'll have to think of one not mentioned here.
 
MASK with CHER ,who at the end of the film tells her son ROCKY to get up,its time for school, but he was already dead-Still I cry evrytime I see that film.

WHATS EATING GILBERT GRAPE- WHEN their mom dies and they dont know how to get her out of the house, without all the controversy-so they burn the house down.

NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT IN GEORGIA-KRISTY McNICHOL's brother dies ,after the funeral she's driving in her car crying and her COP friend pulls her over and decides to leave with her because her brothers dead and does not want her to leave to NASHVILLE alone.LOVE this film!!!!!!Also, the ballad she sings in the bar is so sad.

FEARLESS- when JEFF BRIDGES crashes his car with ROSIE PEREZ to explain that there was nothing she can do to save her baby in the airplane crash.Also, the scene in which they show the crash.AND the scene in which ROSIE PEREZ says goodbye to JEFF BRIDGES.
