When mom and dad fight everything seems to fall
As I am scared nervous behind my room's wall
I close my eyes and shut my ears
To try and hope to lose all fear

At what point will it stop
Will it end with bruises and cops?
I feel like running away and disappear
Where mom and dad won't ever be near

The pain i have to live and see
Watching two grown adults act like kids before me
This is something that has no end
But tonight i will make my feelings clear to them

Dear mom and dad
I am so glad
That you gave me something i never had...
Life to live and the freedom to understand.

If only some parents knew that constant fighting can leave a serious impact in one kid's life. As they grow to adults some in their dreams see it still clearly. Some live with the pain of the past as they can still hear their parent's shouts.

Well i speak of experience because that kid that wrote this poem is me. 🙁 So whenever i see a fight...or get involved in one...i get very nervous, scared...and confused.

Awwww bendito! I'm sorry you went through that. 🙁 And yes parents need to know that arguing in front of the kids is very damaging. No child should be raised that way.

I agree with Naya. I'm reading a story similar to this situation and the real ones that suffer are the kids. It's sad. 🙁

atx exactly...the pain we felt...we don't bring to our children. Thats what makes us special atx and great parents (not a parent but hope to become one in the future).
