I am a middle school teacher, and I made a CD for a kid and one for his aunt, who is supposedly a freestyle fanatic.

One day later I've gotten several comments from other students, and one even asked me to make her a CD. She thought the CD was "bangin".

I was FLOORED. To the kids, freestyle is different 'cuz they've never heard it. I am convinced that in this Hip-Hop oriented age, there WILL be another revival of freestyle. We just need to keep recording and helping one another.

I think it's our responsibility to stop the hatin' and the disrespecting and spend more time and energy on PROMOTING.

I am gonna go home today and make 2 or 3 more CDs to spread the 'style.

Thats great Hiram. I know where your coming from. I have 2 daughters and my little one brings in my cds and shows her friends on the net all the sites that have freestyle. At my daughters b'day party last month they were all star struck when they met me. It was too cute. And they are digging the freestyle. My 12 year old can name any artist they play on Ktu and any artist on Artistik just by hearing a verse or so. She is amazing. Freestyle is spreading!!
 
Hey Natural....."middle school freestyle" u still got it man!! lol...just by me replyin reminds me of our ol' "dance music magizine" banter lmao.....Captain 's log lol......(private joke huh) I bounce aroun' here a bit , and just wanted to publicly thank-u , especially for those who don't know or realize that U (and of course) Mr Valentine r responsible for bringing light to my "first born" lol...(insert jokes here) ....... many a dayz my tracks played on X 88.9 fm , and I think some of us forget ...just to let u know I havent.

By all means, make some more and keep spreading the style. You have them there who like it.
 
My Daughters are totally into Tka and Stevie B, cover girls, rockell, it cracks me up to hear them sing. My next block party should be fun.

What's up brother! I haven't seen yo' nomadic self in a while.

To those of you who don't know. The X 88.9FM nights were MAD fun. Shawn would always drop by the station and talk freestyle and more. Willie V would come down frequently and he always brought his artists over for some crazy on-air fun. Of course, Willie would get there @ like 11 PM (the show ended @ midnight) so we'd usually hit a diner afterwards.

They were fun times. Now if we could only find a station in South Jersey...
 
Freestyle is definitley hot; My nieces homegirls all want edit mixes. They are diggin on the old and new school stuff; and yes i've been to the parties and they know the words to the songs! The teachers are asking for them too (i was asked at parent teacher night) lol

The Mid School Edit mixes are in the works!!!1
 
hey i am thinkin to my self that that is so cool that a redular teacher has an intrest in freestyle,your students must be so great ful for having you i wish i had a teacher who shared at least one intrest with me !!!!! i just wanted to give you props beacause i a in 8TH and at my school you get stereo typed on wat kind of music you like
i am 1 of the very few people who noes wat freestyle is !!!!people dont realy no wat 2 call me!!!!!

The Middle School thing definitely works. My lil bro is in middle school and his spanish teacher is a Freestyle fan and we burned him a copy of Bad Boy Joe's oldschool CD and so he played it in class and all the students LOVED it! LoL I'm so glad I got my bro into Freestyle. I feel proud of myself. 😛
