Sadly, she did not win The World Championship. Looks like another 12 year old beat her. I hear USA Today Skating columnist Christine Brennan say that Kwan might be a little past it. I think Kwan is a good skater and a babe :drool . I know mostly young 12-21 year olds dominate this. But I turn to you Chuck(Cf's Figure Skating Anyalist), do you think Michelle at 24 is past it?

Yes I do...figure skating is kinda like gymnastics in my opinion athletes are in their prime in their teens...by the time they reach their mid to late 20s their usually done

I hope not. Michelle is so good, but everytime in the olympics, she gets beat by some 12 year old. Lets see if Sarah Hughes will be dominant in her 20's

Well.....that's tough to say.

In recent years, the people in this sport have gotten younger and younger.

However, in 1994, Nancy Kerrigan at the age of 24, had won the silver medal in the Olympics.

Michelle Kwan, finished 4th at the World Championships. Two of the skaters who finished ahead of her are in their teesn. However, the woman who won the competition this year is Irina Slutskaya, who turned 26 last month, making her 2 years OLDER than Michelle Kwan.

Forget Sarah Hughes.

Trust me....keep your eyes on Sasha Cohen, who won the silver medal at the world's last year, and this year.

I would love to see her win another World Championship.

There is gonna be talk about her leaving now. This year was the first year since 1996 that Michelle hasn't won a medal at the Worlds competition.

In the past 8 or 9 competion, she has ALWAYS been on the medal podium.
