Message To TKA And Tybless From The Latin Community!
Allright Tybless can I attest,I been posting good things about TKA all over the internet all year, hyping the music and promoting the songs and album on every Latino music and website I know!I sent my 5 bucks for the preview and didn't get nothing back so I told myself hey that 5 bucks went to help an unknown fan get to know TKA I wish I could have given more!I went to Miami bought 2 copies of the album because I could not find it in Tampa and now it all over Tampa bay it's like everyday I see TKA everywhere!I listened to the album I like the new style except TKA didn't change enough for me,I wanted a new TKA album with pumping merengue hiphop and Latin hiphop tracks to show the world what true Latino dance music is all about,I wanted a TKA merengue like Grupo Mania and Banda Chula style,I wanted a TKA salsa like George Lamond,I wanted the TKA freestle of the original When Will I C U instead of some crazy triphop sounding beat,I wanted K7 to sing on feel the music because I loved that song it has energy both the english and Latino version represents what Latino dance music is all about however K7 dissed because some techno loving new school euro freestyle trash lovers hated because they were anti Latino and anti Latino dance music, racism simple and plain anyone that knows that Latino dance is based and founded from a mambo sound loved the Latin vibe and energy on feel the music,All my family are real Latinos straight up Dominican and Puerto Rican from Washington Hieghts,Spanish Harlem and Delency houston, sofolk, clinton street representando siempre!I wanted a duet with Magic Juan from Proyecto Uno,I wanted a duet with Fulanito,I wanted some new school tight freestyle like K7 had on the swing batta swing cd or Cynthia,Rockell and Safire have with their sound which is still popular today, yes Tony Moran recently worked with Cynthia on her last cd,I emailed him and his website states his love for Freeestyle,I think a straight up Latino freestyle would have been nice, the rest of the album I hoped was a tight Latino dance music albums with the rthyms of Barrio Boyzz, Jaci Velasquez,Shakira,Enrique Iglesias,Aaliyah and Marc Anthony instead I will keep the TKA album because in the end it was a dayum good album not a Latin explosion album that I hoped it will be that would show JLO & Ricky M how it's done.I have been a TKA fan since I was 11 in 1990 and saw I wont give up on you played on MTV second generation on the 24 hour street party tv show on MTV,I remember seeing TKA bowling against Tony Moran and Andy Panada on 2nd Generation,I remember seeing TKA perform at the 1992 Puerto Rican day parade,I remember the great Atlanta Braves teams always had a Latin player come to bat with a TKA song and them using your songs on their baseball games,Iam 23 now and have been for over 12 years,I loved TKA because before Fulanito,Proyecto Uno,Ilegales,Barrio Boyzz,Enrique Iglesias,Shakira,Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez we Latinos had TKA,I wanted an album that rivaled Jaci Velasquez, that rivaled the new Barrio Boyzz and Ilegales, that rivaled Aaliyah,Enrique Iglesias and Shakira but outside of Feel the music I got an album that was like modjo, boyz to men,r.kelly and funky green dogs and madison avenue all jumbled into one so I liked the music but not Latino enough, not dance enough, not street Latino hiphop, not Dominican,Puerto Rican or Latin enough however like vibe magazine said it was a win for TKA but not a TKO meaning a very good album that failed to be great only because TKA abandoned their Latin roots and sold out a little to the underground dance and pop r&b scene,I don't want to see a Hector Camacho TKA because IHector Camacho was once 41-0 undefeated a 3 time 3 division world boxing champ and now he is so old that his son is boxing meaning I wanted change but TKA didn't change enough but made the best album they could maybe the guys aren't into Latino music or Latin culture,I felt aliented because it was a good album but I wanted something pumping for Latinos,I wanted reggaeton Latino jam with VICO C or El General! listen to "Yo como que te conozco" by Banda Chula "Con tu amor" by Jaci Velasquez,"Candela" by Proyecto Uno,"La Morena" "Calla" by Vico C,"Lately" by George Lamond,"Do Unto Me,"Tu recuerdo" by Ilegales,"Tragedy" by Marc Anthony and "El Cepillo/Chillando Goma" by Fulanito,I wanted something I could pump to on La Mega,Latino FM and KTU but I got a very good album but missing the Latin beat, that style would have sold a ton of records because all those artist I mentioned are internationally popular,I will buy more copies of this album for my family on Christmas however I am postive it will not be played while our family dances all night to Vico C,Chayanne,Enrique Iglesias,Jaci Velasquez,Barrio Boyzz,Banda Chula,Oro Solido,Shakira and the new Marc Anthony however my it will grew on them with time so they don't say this is a good music album but where is the mambo, merengue, cumbia, freestyle and salsa,oh forgot this not Enrique Iglesias,Oro Solido or No Mercy this is TKA but I could of sworn they were Latin too?!TKA very good album please make the next one even better and more Latin!GOD Bless,Omar 🙂
