i know they r not freestyle but they sure are one of the greatest pop groups ever and i wanted to post up my respects on the passing of bee gee member maurice gibb!!! bee gees are one of the longest enduring groups in pop music history and unfortunately his passing seems like it is the end of the bee gees!
 
Yes I was disappointed as well.I view them as a stepping stone. Together they placed "dance" music on the map and so whether or not you like them they did pave the way for dance music of today. Do I like them and their songs...absolutely!!!
How many of you have the guts to say that? :lol :lol

Yes the bee gees were able to stand the test of time by continually evolving their sound and style...thats why they stayed around for so long...rip to maurice gibbs
 
I posted on this in the "Everything Else and Shout-outs" section. I grew up listening to The Bee Gees and I would never be ashamed to say that they are one of my all time fave groups. I have their double Greatest Hits cd and listen to it often. Not only did they have many wonderful hits, but they have also contributed to the music industry by writing hits for many singers such as Barbara Streisand. Their songs have been covered by many artists...for instance, "Emotions" was remade by ANGELINA and Destiny's Child. Saturday Night Fever wouldnt have been the same without them!! I will always have a special place in my heart for The Bee Gees because their songs take me back to my childhood. RIP Maurice!!

The Bee Gees are some of the most talented writers in the Music Industry. He will be missed.

years ago i used to walk home from elementry school and i would pass by there house here in miami everyday,knowing who they are and the AWESOME music they produced/sang(that's right i said AWESOME)every once in a while back then i used to see them outside there house working on the yard and they(meaning barry,marice,)would always say hi,i thought that was so cool how down to earth they were.i have LOT'S of respect for the gibb family and i wish them all the best in the future,MAY HE R.I.P...he will be missed.......vaproductions(victor):realsad :sosad :sosad :realsad
