What's up and thanks for viewing. I recently took a trip to south Florida while most sorry ass Ny'ers got pounded with snow. Thanks to Cf's own Scotman ,who some of you may know road managed Expose , I was able to meet Freestyle powerhouse producer Lewis A Martinee' .
This picture was taken at his studios just this past Wednesday.Mr Martinee' was the writer, producer, mixer and engineer for Expose essentially making him "Expose'" Others include Teaz II Pleaz,Paris by air,The voice in Fashion and "One night Affair" by the Cover Girls.
The one song he needs no reminding of among true Freestyler's is the ass kickin' jam and among my favorites>> "It's not too Late" by sexy "SeQuaL".

Funny you mention Jonpito I was wondering what happened to him he used to post a lot. This Freestyle Reunion concert you speak of..wasn't it last Saturday or Friday?? I got there on Saturday afternoon.I think you will be honored to work with him, he isn't a small time producer. Honestly I can't rememeber the artist but he has done work and is doing more for current trance and techno music as well as a plan to release his classic hits with a new spin on them.

Yeah the concert was last weekend with
Gioia of Exposé
Sandeé
Erotic Exotic
Secret Society
Connie
....& I forgot who else - lol.

I cant wait to hear his classics with da twist! Im pretty sure its gonna be hott!
But yes, I know he has been doing work with the dance/techno stuff for awhile.
& I still love his production with D'Luna (China Dolls).

Oh shit that's right he did mention the China dolls. Also he had a rock oriented band that he produces for here in NYC on Thursday at Darlene's Grocery.Truly a talented person. One thing he did express a concern over is the downloading of music over the web and how it is hurting the industry.

What did he think about the downloading?
I think that its both an advantage & a disadvantage I guess.🙁 🙂

About The China Dolls, I was honored to be the first one to interview D'Luna. She's such a trip! & Clubbin' with her is an experience!😛
If u want, checkout my interview with her at www.freestylemusic.com
You'll see what I mean. lol.

I like you view it as both an advantage and disadvantage.I must say I am guilty of being a Napster back in the day but I just traded with Freestyler's and those who know me can vouch for it when I say ..I buy what I like.As far as Mr. Martinee' was concerned he had a negative attitude towards what is going on saying it is hurting them.

Hey jack! welcome home, no need to thank me Bro, Lewis is a great guy, he and I had some amazing times during the success of expose' as well as some very aggravating ones. I was lucky to work closely with him for about seven years, and my thoughts of him are always favorable. He is one of the truly egoless pioneers of this music. Without Lewis, there never would have been an Expose', it was entirely his creation. And when Ann and Jeanette wrestled creative control from him, the outcome was their third and last album, which was also a dud saleswise and hitwise to the first two that Lewis wrote and produced. They tried to prove something, that the group was them, and it backfired and caused the group to be dropped from Arista. Gioia, the truly talented one, left after the 2nd album and was not a part of this suicide! Still love her...

nice pic bro those records up on the wall did u get to see how many they sold for each of the hits?
Meng Al, for the Expose' albums, we recieved Platinum for the first (about1.8 million sold), and for the 2nd, Gold (850,000) sold...

Liz next time we meet you're more than welcome to take a closer look at my legs..that goes for you too Michelle.
LabettyBoop thanks for checking out my picture, I know I look like a pizza delivery guy as Kenny put it but the shorts were light blue and yes I do like it there very much.
Cool AL it's funny you mention those records. I had added then deleted a sentence in the post regarding them.Unfortunately due to size restrictions of the image I was not able to give a full view.If you like I can email the entire picture. There were many gold records up there. One I liked in particular was in his office for "Season's Change".Like I said he is not small time.Thank you all and most of all to Scot. On my way home from work today I was listening to Sequal and laughed knowing that my journey had come to an end.For so many years I wanted to meet the person responsible for one of my favorite songs.
