I've got at least a half dozen of the original promos, as I was a part of the Marisa Lopez management team back then. Are you telling me that I can get $500.00 for these 12" gems?

I've held on to the promos out of respect for Marisa, Charlie, Micheal and the others who worked on the tune, but $500.00?????

Do I hear a "sellout" coming?

12" promos, or CD? I can make CD copies in return for postage and CD costs...I'm not looking to make any money. If a "collector" is looking for vinyl, I'll have to think about it. The reason that these haven't been made available is the fear that someone will bootleg the cut without making a deal with the producers.

That's right BOOTLEG.That's why a couple of months ago I asked you who EXACTLY were involved so that we can contact them to see if we could either repress with proper authorization or remix the song as we have the DAT tapes also. If $500 is too much well too bad cause it's an actate copy (plates to repress more copies), so if a record can be sold for $300 (e.g. LaParis,Brandon,Marqui,etc.) why not the plates that can reproduce. If someone wants to take a chance at repress without permission that's their choice but not ours.😉 :blah

There is no demand for vinyl so not sure why you would suggest repressing it. There are not too many die hard vinyl freestyle collectors like myself. Just my opinion.

Many are into CD's or MP3's. For myself, I do not support or have any MP3's.

You can ask $5000 for it if you want. However, for that record I personally would not pay $500 for it, even if it is an acetate. The track has great vocals, but its not a great freestyle track overall. Brandon, La Paris and some of those you mentioned are much better than the Marisa Lopez track. 😉 😎

I hope that you sensed the sarcasm in my post. I'm not selling anything related to Marisa...we're much too close for me to do that. I do know that Micheal Hernandez (the original manager of the project) has expressed interest in re-doing the song. Marisa isn't really interested with her new marriage and teaching career, but if Mikey finds an acceptable vocalist, he may just do it.

If you ended up selling the acetate, wouldn't that lend itself to potential bootleggers?

I have always stood up against bootleggers-both on and off of the air, so it's somewhat of a touchy situation for me.
