Mariah's new album is the bomb. The Lady is back; but it did not debut at #1. It's her best album since Music Box(1993). But it's a great album.

Last night, Whitney supposed to have come come clean to acting like The Portland JailBlazers, The Mets and Robert Downey Jr(being a dope head). I talk to people who say they did not buy into that interview last night.

And Celine Dion, after 9/11, she came out of retirement, and released a new album earlier this year. The deal is, nobody can name a song she has released off that album nor the name of it.

My question is, are the Big Three Divas done? Are their best days (the mid, late 90's) behind them?

To me, Mariah is not done.😉

I saw that interview and as much as I would love to believe her she looked like she was trying to hide so much. I know from experience with family members when people get high and the attitude and way of speaking, their whole behavior that they use drugs. I think she really is trying to recover and maybe get healthy again so she can be wht she once was. I love Whitney and my prayrers are with her. I hope that she gets clean they showed her the way she was and it's amazing that such a beautiful woman could let herself get the way she is.
 
I think Whitney has lost alot of respect from the community, for her habitual drug use and that retard she calls a husband.

Mariah will try a comeback, but she lost alot of her following after she triend her new "Street sound" that didn't do crap for her.

And Celine did say she was retiring to raise her family and take care of her husband who I belive was battling Cancer of some sort.

Kelly Clarkson, she better get to making a new song, cause the other song hardly gets any airplay now.

All four women are beyond talented, and I wish them all the best of luck in thier future plans.
 
I think Mariah is the best, I used to be a BIG FAN of Whitney but like you said alot of people lost respect for her and I happen to be one of them, it just seemed like she did not care about what fans think about her, I really want Whitney to be back the way she was but it looks like nothing is going to stop her habits or to her from being with her " Drug beating no good husband" I blame him for everything!
now I feel like listing to her song " Heartbreak Hotel " I love that song! I hope Kelly Clarkson comes back with a new song because man her first one was very good BUT MY GOODNESS they played it out here in Chicago~! 🙂
 
I agree with Nyasia completely. While I am still a big fan of Mariah and I love her new cd, her street sound did change her somewhat. I dont know why every artist these days thinks they have to singer with a rapper in order to have a #1 song. I, for one, am getting tired of that sound. But Mariah still has the best ballads!!

Mike, I have Celine Dion's latest cd and guess what?....I can name more than 1 song on it....lol As a matter of fact, Kelly Clarkson sang a song called "I Surrender" from that cd on American Idol! And how about the song "I'm Alive" which got a good amount of airplay and "A New Days Has Come" which was all over the place!! I think Celine did pretty well with the cd.


As for Whitney, she lost a lot of credibility due to her antics....not showing up for appearances, drug use, etc. I love her old music but I cant exactly say that I like her new sound all that much.

Kelly Clarkson has an amazing voice and I really hope her full length album gets released soon! From what I understand, it was originally supposed to be released in November, but was pushed back until after the New Year. I think "Before Your Love" is a beautiful song, but yes, "A Moment Like This" was played a little too much, a fate that happens to all too many songs!

I see everyone is in agreement that Kelly is the new Diva of the Millineum!! Could you also make a case that Alicia keys and X-Tina fits the catagory?

I think Alicia is the next big time Diva!!😉
 
I WOULD SAY THAT THE INTERVIEW WITH WITNEY WAS VERY EVASIVE AND SHE NEEDS A MEETING....HER HUSBAND CAME IN AND SAVED HER FROM MAKING A TOTAL ASS OF HERSELF...I'VE ALWAYS LOVED HER SONGS BUT IT'S SAD TO SEE HER WASTING AWAY.

MARIAH HAS WORKED VERY HARD TO GET TO WHERE SHE WAS...NOW I DON'T KNOW HOW HER NEW ALBUM WILL DO BUT AT LEAST SHE IS HONEST WITH HER PROBLEMS.

KELLY...I'M WAITING FOR A NEW SONG FROM HER TOO ONLY BECAUSE THE OTHER SONG IS PLAYED ALREADY.
 
I have to say that what I consider talented these days are artists that dont have people pulling their strings...telling them what songs to sing and how to dance. I believe talent is not just standing there and singing but writing your own songs, playing instruments, etc. For example, I think Michelle Branch is a truly talented artist, as is Brian McKnight. I think Mariah is talented because of her vocal range and the fact that she writes most of her songs. A lot of Mariah's songs are meaningful...for example "Cant Take That Away" and "Never Too Far". Alicia Keys is also talented, as long as she stays on the same track that she's on and doesnt go too far into rap music.

I have pretty much lost all respect for Whitney Houston, as I have for Michale Jackson. It's a shame that such talented artists with so much going for them, decided to take a different path.

I do think Kelly Clarkson can be a big star, she just needs the right songs and the right people behind her...she already has the killer voice.

I just hope Whitney does recover. It's an American tragedy to see a top notch pop superstar just head down hill. In 1991,1992, the world loved Whitney. After she sang the national Anthem, the Us was gonna give her The Key to the US. That's how much The World loved Whitney!! We loved her and Whitney loved The Chronic.🙁

Mariah, at least she was being honest that she was trying to hard with her new sexy, gettho girl look(1997-2001). She admitted that she was working too hard and having trouble with relationships. But i'm glad that she is returning back to that Diva powerhouse she was in the early, mid 90's!!

Celine, great singer. I respect her for retiring to raise a family and take care of her husband. I give her props for that. Because of the changing tastes of music(every three days). She has in an instant become a memeory since coming out of retirement.

Kelly has a great voice. It's hard to tell whether she will become a powerhouse diva. Only time will tell.

Alicia keys, the next R&B, Pop superdiva!!! Nuff Said!!!!!!!!!!😉

X-Tina, yes she has a kicka$$ voice. I admit, I'm not sold on her skanky look. But, only time will tell.

Michelle Branch and Vanessa Calton are the next big powerhouse singer songwriters!! Nuff said.
 
While Mariah tries to make a comeback and whitney has a lot of damage control to do, Canada's well behaved and family oriented mega stars Celine Dion and Shania Twain continue to break sales records worldwide. Celine is also a major mega star in the francophone world and will continue to release albums in french while she is in the business. Her last francophone album "D'eux" was the biggest selling french language album in history and also sold 175,000 copies "as is" in the USA, although it was titled 'the french album'.

Celine D. had been busy on tour for many months at a time and wanted to take care of her husband/manager while his bout with cancer and start a family and at the same time take a ''two year'' retirement/hiatus to rest/be a wife/a mom/etc...after 9/11?? releases an album and no one could name a song from that album...b/c of sales? it could be alot of things not b/c her popularity is dwindling... No one, dont care who u name, can make straight great albums w/o hitting a bump on the road 🙄 ...jeez, the nineties are behind but not necessaryly meaning they're washed up. Who's next? Next will be Ricky Martin (since he hasn't been heard for awhile, boom! immediately peeps think he's washed up like an old pair of overalls) b/c of not selling more than a million copies of his upcoming new album in two days than his other cd's. A while back, some of you were putting Mariah down saying she's 'done'...now look. "I told ya so...."
