Best friends make best lovers as many would say
But I never thought it would end up this way
I still can’t believe that all changed in a blink of an eye
What have I done to deserve this why me but why
At night when we made love I would look at his face
How his warm body held me so tightly the memories won’t erase
I wish lord that you can see
That all I desire in life is for him to be with me
I gave him my everything and I felt he was the one
So many of my friends told me to forget about him that I am dumb
But how can I forget a love that I felt so much comfort in
How can I move on when all I want is just him
I gave him his space I gave him his time and I waited
Being impatient it was something I so much hated
Cause my love for him was so much but for him it wasn’t sufficient
Why did things have to change lord between us and be so different
