what are you looking for

What do you need your beat machine to do? Just drums or do you need it to sequence and sample?

Sampler/Sequencer/Drums = Mpc2000/Mpc2000xl The Mpc4000 is a bit overkill but if you can afford it....why not.

Drums= Alesis DmPro/Roland R-8/Alesis Hr-16/HR-16b

sampler= Akai s5000

sequencer= logic audio 5.0/ steinberg cubase Sx

Actually It's been awhile since i've had one but I'm looking for the machine with all those features! I'm just looking to make better beats than the ones I used to make! So I'd want the better machine with the most features

Since you're obviosly already using a computer, to save quite a bit of money you may want to just consider programs such as Acid or Halion, or stuff like that. If your computer is fast enough it can do everything a drum machine can do except leave your house.. hehe..

I used to use an ASR10 live as it is affordable, powefull... yet the bast@rd always crashed, so nevermind... 😛
