Okay, how should it work? Who pays what? Say for example the woman has a child from a previous relationship(living in the house) and averages $700 a month, and the man also has a child not living in the house and averages $600 a week. If the woman does all the housework(cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc,....)Who should pay what? Should it be 50/50? Or shoud the woman pay more since there are the child's expenses to consider?

that depends alot on the relationship. it's a mutual agreement that couple would have to sit and consider.

In my relationship, it's whoever has the money available when something needs to be paid...there's none of that "your money, my money" stuff. And it really shouldn't matter under who's name a certain bill is if you both using it.

I say whoever has the bulk of income coming in takes care of the biggest bill which is rent and the other takes care of utilitys such as gas, electric, phone, and food and commuting expensies. it evens out regardless of a child in household from previous relationship. Thats what relationships are about 50/50

Money issues can break a couple up. But when you first move in with someone make sure you come up with an arrangement right then in there. Don't wait till you get notice that your services are gonna get cut off to discuss the issue.

I agree money can mess things up if both of yous don't write on list what expenses on whose behalf gets paid and bla bla. Make sort of like a agreement...that way if you or him does not play your part you will know for the sake of the relationship; who is wrong.

i agree with you.. if i have the $ at the time the bill gets in ... i'll pay... or the other way around..there should not be no mine is mine yours is yours.. it should be all is ours

Come to an agreememnt...when I lived with my ex bf I paid more than half but that's cuz I was working full time and he was in skool...we just came up with an agreement that we were both ok with
