Whatever happened to them?? They may not be considered Freestyle per se, but their jams were great back in the day.

they were more disco than freestyle. i saw LIME at BEATSTOCK a few years ago and according to Johnny Budz, they werent the "real" LIMES.

From what I remember, Lime is either a brother/sister or husband/wife team by the names of Denis and Denyse LePage.

There may (I stress the word may, I don't know for sure) have been some drama between them and their record label, with the label claiming to own the name "Lime" because In the mid 80's I remember hearing a radio commercial (Out Q) talking about an appearance of "LePage" at a club. The announcer went so far as to say, "come tonight to (whatever club it was) to see "LePage", formerly "Lime" to perform all their hits.

LIME were a great group! "babe were gonna love tonight", "unexpected loverS","cutie pi" etc... "angel eyes" was my favorite record of theirs though, i played that record out!
I remember everytime i went to see them in perform in the 80's,they always had new members lol. i must have seen like 3 sets of lime members......

I also saw Lime at the first Beatstock. I really dont think it was the original members though because it didnt vocally sound like them. I love Lime's music though...esp,. Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight and Angel Eyes. They have a Greatest Hits cd if anyone is interested.
