Don't ask me WHY I was thinking about this, but the other day I was wondering why Lil' Suzy didn't sing "Take Me In Your Arms Again", which was performed by Lil' Johanna. Was she not given the opportunity to take credit for the song or did she just refuse it? I know the same guy who wrote "Take Me In Your Arms" wrote "TMIYAA" (Tony Garcia). It doesn't make any sense that he would write it for Lil' Johanna when Lil' Suzy sang "part 1". Now that I think about it, Johanna covered "Real Love", initially sung by Suzy.

Seeing how well "Back In Your Arms Again" (Judy Torres) did, it would've been a great idea for Lil' Suzy cover that track on the Freestyle Lives compilation.

Is there a story behind all of this?

Huh? :confused

Can you repeat that again? 😛

No I actually understand...and its a very good point...just don't know the answer sorry

i have heard that lil johanna was a get back at lil suzy for leaving the record label...i dont know if that is so true, but thats why her song was similar and she covered lil suzy's stuff

How can you guys not understand what I'm talking about? I'm pretty sure I typed it in proper English. As for those who do "understand" what I'm talking about, it's a logical question, right?

I'll give the rest of you a week to try and decipher it! Hahaha, oh man.....

i think i understand what ur talkin about..i'l give it a try..

Since Lil Suzy sang what u like to call 'part 1' of the song..then it would only make sense for her to sing "Take Me In Your Arms Again"

I think thatz what ur tryin to say...:confused but thatz not everything ur tryin to say i only examined a small portion of what u said.

But I personally think of Lil Johanna as a wonderful singer..and i also think she did a good job with this song.

Lil Johanna did a good job but I still think it should have been done by Lil Suzy its funny they have Lil (spelled the same) at the beginning of their names hmmmmmm lol...seriously I dont get y people don't understand the question lol 😛

Civic_Si_Gina- Thank you, thank you, thank you (as I bow).

GrkFS22- I love the fact that you're from Boston. I heard about a Freestyle night @ Club Mirage on Tremonst Street in the South End.

To both- I don't think we need any more "Lil's" in Freestyle anymore. It's so generic and what happens when you turn 30 years old? Hmmmm....?

well that song wasd basically written for Lil Johanna, and not Lil Suzy.....Lil Suzy left High Power after the second album! Lil Johanna was good i do like that song TAKE ME IN YOUR ARMS AGAIN....i also think Lil Suzy should use the original production when she performs TAKE ME IN YOUR ARMS she's been performing the remix version isnt as strong but i guess it'll do....(NO PUN INTENDED!!!!)

btw wassup with JOHANNA AND SUZY these dayz?

but if ur still lil @ 30? hmmmmmmm
btw thanks carlitos 😛

It's a good Deal cArLiToS WaY!!! If I manage to "understand" your question...one day!!! :blah

A very simple explanation...

Lil Suzy had left High Power Records after her contract was up. She of course went to Metropolitan to start her own record company. High Power wanted another artist to "take" Suzy's place...Lil Johanna.

Maybe one day on FOX Celebrity Boxing...nah!
